Scotiabank

I had a very poor experience with this bank and am extremely dissatisfied with their service and customer support. I transferred money from their branch to another bank, but due to their error, the transfer was processed incorrectly and my funds were unavailable for five days. Despite contacting them and requesting an urgent correction, they failed to resolve their mistake even after two days. This caused unnecessary stress and inconvenience.

No teller cash after 3, and all 3 debit machines broken. I seriously need a new bank provider.

I was with Scotiabank for 3 years and had a really good experience. In my last interaction, Janet was especially helpful she explained everything clearly and made the process easy. They also have three friendly tellers who make the branch feel welcoming, and the service overall has been smooth. I really like that they have a triage person at the front to help with appointments or general questions, so you don’t have to wait in line for the tellers if it’s something simple. For newcomers opening their first account or getting a credit card, I’d definitely recommend Scotiabank.

Came in at 4pm as I just got off work and needed to open a checking account ideally that day it wasn’t working for me online. I was helped by Karen and she was so wonderful! Really friendly, funny, and happy to help. She went the extra mile and printed void cheques for me so I didn’t have to find them online when I got home. Great service!
