I have honestly had more negative experiences with this branch - and Scotiabank as a whole - than positive ones. I recently had one advisor cancel on me last minute and another tell me he couldn't process my request and would phone me in one month. That never happened. I've been trying to close my accounts for two months and they can't even do that for me.

Zero stars. Worst bank in Canada. They lock the door to atm, drive through atm does not accept deposits. Can't pay my bills on time and they they charge you for missing payments due to not being able to acess your account properly.

They now close the ATMs when its not during banking hours and say to use the drive thru one. But when I tried the drive thru it wouldn't take cash deposits.

The teller of the bank is impatient and unwilling to solve problems for customers. At the same time, some staff members are very unprofessional. I have complained with their manager many times, but their service still hasn't improved . I have been using this bank since college, because this branch is very close to my house, so I have been handling business there. However, the staff they recently hired has really brought me unbearable services. I really don't think they are suitable for banking services. It's really frustrating. So now I am ready to transfer my personal business and corporate business to CIBC or TD bank.

RACIST!! Completely atrocious behaviour toward people of colour. They racially profiled my son the other day so I went and had a “little conversation” with the teller who did it. Today I received notice that all of my accounts have been closed. So let me get this right… YOU condone and display racism, I call you out on it and I’M in the wrong? Beyond disgusting!! I don’t know the teller’s name, but I do know that Fritzi, the completely incompetent manager, was in on what happened to my son. This was the Glendale Ave. location in St. Catharines.

Not like it used to be, I guess when you know the tellers it was way friendlier , only 2 girls I know are still there. Been a client for 50 years.

Worst service! in line up while bank employees are chatting with each other and not putting clients first. I hope I never have to go there again.

Bad service. The advisor lacked knowledge. I just want a simple & common document even had an exact example what I was looking for. 1. Made me wait even though I had an appointment 2. The advisor didn’t even knew what to do even after looking at the example which was very clear 3. She Printed the document with my bank account details with some other person’s Name on it. 4. She didn’t even knew how to print on the letterhead. 5. She didn’t knew how to do a color print. 6. She doesn’t even know how to print the form in letter/A4 format. She printed it in a long page won’t even fit my folder. 7. She doesn’t even know how to scan document 8. Even after telling her & showing her many times what I want on the form she didn’t add anything 9. Charged me $15 on top of that. 10. Took 45mins to process that simple document. 11. I went to Scotiabank at Geneva street. They took 10 mins to do the same job and didn’t even charge a penny and they exactly knew what I wanted. Advisors at Scotiabank Glendale are poorly trained which is reflected on their rating.

I would strongly advise to not do any banking at this place. The employees have terrible communcation skills. I ordered cheques 3 months ago and still havent gotten them, was also double charged for them and they do not want to issue me a refund. Stay away from this branch and bank!

My rating of this bank is upgraded from a 2 to a 3. Barb is the only teller who knows what they're talking about.
