This afternoon, my wife had to raise her voice just to get the staff's attention at the bakery. They seemed unhappy and acted like they didn’t even want to serve her. It makes me wonder why we keep spending money on such mediocre service.
I went shopping on save on food in Thursday afternoon. During the payment the cashier asked me “do you want to redeem your points ?”I answer yes, but by the end I found my points was redeemed, but the food was charged by original price instead of the flyer price. I went to customer service, An Indian girl service me. I told her what happened ,to my surprised she said that the store policy. To avoid misunderstanding, I ask her what’s your policy? She answered”if you redeem your points, you pay by the original price, Not the price on the flyer. “ this is my first time to hear such a ridiculous policy in Canada for so many years. I tried to explain to her that doesn’t make sense .but she insist you say that’s the store policy. That’s the store policy. OK then just keep your policy. You lost your customer. I will never come back.
Terrible experience! Cashier Gursharn K was extremely rude. We were using the express lane on Saturday July 20, 2024 at about 12:49. My family, including two minors that got to witness this horrible interaction, were in front of me paying for some candy and crackers. I was right behind them and at the time the only person waiting in line. I only had one item, a bottle of coke. Long story-short, the cashier was done scanning my family’s items so the only thing on the belt was my coke.nThere was no other customers waiting in line, so no reason to keep moving the belt but the conveyor belt kept moving, my bottle of pop fell and kept hitting the end of the conveyor belt. I was afraid that it would explote, so I asked the cashier politely to stop moving the belt. Her response was: “you know what?! I know how to do my job”. I couldn’t believe what I heard. She was so confrontational and rude. When I asked if she could call her manager. Her replied was: “you go and call my manager”, “ I am not going to call my manager”, “you want to talk to my manager you go find my manager”. She then refused to give me service, and just like I didn’t exist, she started scanning the next’s customer items. Eventually in a very disrespectful way she said: “move! go! You can pay there!” and pointed at the lady at the customer service counter. I eventually got to talk to someone that claim to be the Supervisor on shift I missed her name .nBut let me tell you, I have been going to this ‘Save On’ location for the last 7 years and never have experienced that kind of behaviour. It was pretty awful. I really wish my nieces didn’t have to experience this. Not sure who is in charge of interviewing potential candidates at Save On but they really dropped the ball with this one. Maybe time to find a different supermarket
Very nice supermarket, lots of selection. Large bakery and fresh fish departments. Self checkout available. Lots of parking.
It’s incredibly frustrating when not a single cash register is open so I’m forced to do their jobs for them and wrestle with the stupid self-serve that fights with me about every item, constantly needs an employee to babysit/reset the bloody thing, yells at me any time anything that weighs more than a fart gets on the scale, doesn’t even let me bag my groceries while I scan them, and then after paying no employee discount by the way even though I did the work it’s sitting there chastising me to take my items. I’m friggin working on it!nnAdditionally, despite the propaganda, food is just as expensive as anywhere. Hey here’s an idea: for how much you’re extorting me for basic life necessities, consider hiring this super cool new thing called “staff” in which they can, you know, operate cash registers like we’ve been doing for centuries. Thanks.nnReally makes a guy want to go anywhere else. Any other business that takes literally hundreds of dollars from me every time I visit treats me better. Why is this ok?
