This is our go-to place for delicious sausages and hot dogs at the Byward Market! I would recommend the all dressed spicy Italian sausage, if you do like spicy food. Ingredients are definitly fresh and you can taste it! During non-busy time, you could get your order within 5 minutes. There is a patio section opens to the public where you can dine in and enjoy your meal! Parking: Depending on the day and time of visit, parking can be tricky!
Not many options for late night eats in Byward Market and this place comes in clutch after a night of drinking. The prices are a tad high for what you get but I guess with nothing else around at those late hours you don’t have much of a choice. The Fries are good and so is the poutine although I’m sure you’ve tried better somewhere but at 3 am it does hit the spot for sure. I will give them this is they have some great quality Sausages here and they cook them to perfection with a good variety of toppings that are kept clean. For a really small spot and a quick late night bite when most everything is closed I think they do it right here overall. Also just as an FYI it was cash only when we visited.
DO NOT GO IF YOU ARE AMERICAN!!! She only takes cash and will not do any conversions for you. She makes you pay Canadian prices in American dollars. She is also extremely rude. She yelled at someone in line for taking a picture and threw our money back at us when we tried paying the proper amount. She also spoke about us in another language to her coworker in-front of us pointing at us as they spoke. The poutine is not good and the hot dog was burnt. Not a good atmosphere or food.
The service and the friendliness of the staff at Sasha's poutine has certainly improved over the years. The offering are pretty straightforward street food. Hot-dogs, sausages, fries, poutine and ice cream. There are several different options and topping available. A good stop during the daytime in summer, or at night during at night out in the Byward market.
Ok hot dog ok poutine. Price $17. Sitting area is like a greenhouse.Food: 3/5
$13 for a large poutine. I feel robbed. frozen fries. minimal gravy..
Ordered a poutine on a Saturday night. Old stale fries and burnt tasting gravy. Many better options in the area
Fantastic service and a lovely spot! If you're looking for an easy hot dog, this is a great option. Lots of different hot dogs, awesome poutine. The fries are ok, they do the job! The lady at the counter was very nice. Ask for extra napkins! Hot dogs are between 4-6 dollars.
Best hot dogs and poutine ever!Food: 5/5
Good for a late night snack but prices have gone up significantly over the last few years for the quality of food
