She did us a huge favour by helping us get checked in, and her compassion, professionalism, and authentic care immediately put us at ease after a long day of travelling. You can tell she genuinely loves helping people, and that kind of service is something you never forget. She made us feel welcomed, valued, and right at home.nnWe would also like to recognize Tracy and Connie for their friendly, professional service. They helped make our stay enjoyable and contributed to the warm, welcoming atmosphere throughout the hotel.nnOutstanding customer service is becoming rare these days, but Van reminded us what true hospitality looks like. She is an incredible ambassador for the Sandman brand and a real asset to the hotel. Thank you for making our stay such a positive experience. We will absolutely be back and will happily recommend the Sandman Hotel & Suites Williams Lake to family and friends.
nnAfter spending the first 1,000 km of my 1,500 km bike ride camping in a tent, staying at the Sandman in Williams Lake was an absolute treat.nnI called ahead to see if I could check in a little early, and Tracy at the front desk was incredibly friendly and accommodating. She got me checked in without any trouble, and made me feel welcome right away.nnEven though the hotel was going through renovations, it was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. After days of camping and long hours in the saddle, the pool felt absolutely amazing and was exactly what I needed to recharge.nnExcellent customer service, a great night’s rest, and a much-appreciated break from tenting. I’ll definitely be staying here again the next time I’m passing through Williams Lake.
This place was awful. The parking lot is small, tight and difficult to manage and I’m not even sure where everyone would park if the place were full.nnStaff were very friendly which was the only redeeming quality.nnThe suites building clearly used to be an apartment building. The door to the room looked like it had been kicked in a couple times and didn’t quite close properly. There was a hot water heater room with a door that didn’t even close. The carpet was literally ripped apart in places, baseboards were all scratched up, electrical plates with holes in them, cracking tile in the kitchen and bathroom. Closets in both rooms had doors that were busted off. Filthy windows. Baseboards in the bathroom looked like they hadn’t been cleaned in weeks and the chair at the desk was crooked and broken. I honestly didn’t want to sit down or touch anything.nnWe were told we were getting a nice balcony room except someone clearly puked on the balcony and it was never cleaned up. Surely did not let my kids go out there. It was disgusting. Pool was closed when we were there which was the main reason why I booked this hotel as it’s the only one in PG with a pool! When we were leaving and I was doing a look over to make sure my kids didn’t forget anything, I saw a pair of socks left from someone else.nnThey’re undergoing renovations and I would STRONGLY advise not to stay there until the suites get done too. It was awful and I can’t believe they charge over $200 for this! The next day I stayed in a nice condo in *Whistler* off-season for $165! We hated this Sandman so much that we literally changed our travel plans home and cancelled this hotel because there was no way I was spending $265 long weekend to stay in such a crappy hotel again.
I had a great stay at the Sandman Inn Williams Lake thanks to Dorian. He was super friendly and welcoming from the moment I walked in, and check‑in was quick, easy and fun.nnHe’s got a good sense of humour that made a long travel day feel a lot lighter, and he was always happy to help with anything I needed. Good dinner recommendations too!nnI’d definitely stay here again and I’d tell anyone checking in to look for Dorian—he really makes the place feel comfortable and inviting.
Dorian provided me with an excellent reception and experience getting checked in. Very kind, and polite!nnThe room I was provided with had excellent amenities, especially as a solo traveller. The only disappointment for me was that the pool was under renovation. But considering the price I paid, I think I had an excellent experience.
