My girlfriend and I stayed here several times in the early 2000's; if we were overnighting in Williams Lake, this place became our go-to. The rooms were spotless, Breakfast was good and plentiful, the hosts welcoming and friendly. Fellow travellers always had fascinating stories. Scout Island Bird Sanctuary is a five-minute walk, the backyard was 50 feet of lawn ending in a cattail/bulrush marsh edging the lake. If you can, get a room on the lake side of the house, then you can in summer fall asleep to the sounds of the Red-winged and Yellow-headed Blackbirds bickering in the backyard and the loons yodelling far out on the lake.
This is truly a gem in Williams Lake! They have the price is unbeatable. The decor is a bit dated, but quite charming. The rooms are cozy and spotlessly clean. Breakfast is simple, but there's a nice sitting area to have your tea and toast : Being so close to Scout Island is such a bonus, just a 5 minutes away from all the walking trails and picnic areas. Quiet and comfortable! I'm always going to stay here when I have to visit the puddle!!! I would recommend this to everyone!
Very clean. Beautiful view. People are welcoming. Reasonably priced. Great location. Thank you for a great stay.Rooms: 5/5
