Be wary of their specials; even in the off-season, they only apply at night and not for lunch... so your fish and chips on Monday will cost you $6 more at lunch which makes 0% logic.
Food was okay. Chowder was good, but a little on the heavy and salty side. Served with a bun that was stale as my grandmother's backside.
Boyfriend ordered the fish and chips, which was breaded with panko-a mistake, we agree, as it shines most in a beer batter and we are, after all, talking about a bar.
Decor was lacking and featured CORONA (TM) on everything from the tabletops to the salt shakers. Place reeks of hick summer tourist.
Great location, though; worth the detour just for the view. Be prepared to pay $2 to enter during high season to "preserve the wharf."

The Sandbar is a restaurant tourists cannot miss! Our waitress, Nikita, was fabulous and heads up guys...beautiful. She recommended the mussels when we asked for suggestions. She was absolutely rignt...they were delicious, having a yummy lemon, white wine, cream sauce. Sooooo great with dipping get bread, too.
For those who complain about out of season lack of view with eating inside, then come in season. We still had a great view sitting get inside by the windows. To all who want a first rate restaurant with first rate service..visit the Sandbar..you won`the best sorry. If you are less than happy, in our view as customers, no place would make you happy.

The setting was very nice, unfortunately we were not allowed to sit in the outside seating even though the weather was beautiful. Service was not very friendly, we are on vacation and looking for a good east coast seafood meal. The price was very high for the portion size, the lobster rolls are very small and the fish tacos had almost no fish. For a restaurant on a warf this was a big disappointment. To top this off we had asked for no bacon in our ceaser salad as it was for a vegetarian and had noticed there was bacon in the salad after most of it had been eaten. Not much was done regarding this, I would give this a 2 out of 10.

1st spot we hit after running all day long from Montreal. Great "lobstah" roll and club! Friendly staff, not rushed to push you out the door and decent prices. Would return again with the family in the future.

very friendly staff and nice environment! amazing view of the pier and the ocean! while we were there a downpour occurred out of nowhere but the staff handled it gracefully, making sure nobody's dining experience was ruined :)
