Did take out here. I have before and it was delicious BUT this time I order tempura salmon roll and there literally was no Salmon it was mostly deep fried rice. The second roll i received was not deep friend and tasted really fishy to a point we could not eat it and it is a regular roll I get. Its a shame because I really did like this place but I think they are going cheap on the seafood.
Tasted good, one of my favourite sushi places to eat at in Kamloops. The wait for your food takes a little bit but is worth the wait. The wine was not that good at all and any other drinks they charge you for in cans. But I do highly recommend giving this place a shot.
Ordered a box and it all came at separate times instead of together, in you know .. a box Food was warm and not hot and took a super long time to get. The salmon nigiri was NOT good. Tasted off. Not sure why we went here as the last time we went it was just as nearly disappointing.
We ordered Party Combo C tonight. Very poor value for a premium price. Food quality was substandard- you could taste the freezer time on the shrimp, presentation showed how little they cared. You will be better off stopping at Superstore and grabbing a bunch of their pre-made packs...the quality will be better at a fraction of the price.
I am new to the area, I ordered some rolls off Skip the Dishes, the rolls said they would have a house sauce, it did not indicate spicy and when I ordered off Skip it asked me if I wanted spicy rolls, I did not click that option. I received my order 35 mins after I placed it, and had to give it away to someone else I lived with because I can not have spicy food. When I called the restaurant to let them know they told me the rolls I ordered are spicy when I indicated this was not indicated on the menu showing on Skip they told me to get a refund from Skip. now I have been on hold with Skip the Dishes for 15 minutes just trying to talk to someone I am thoroughly disappointed in the customer service from the restaurant and Skip the Dishes
Worth finding this place tucked into the corner of an unassuming shopping plaza. Tuna sashimi was really good. Last couple pages of the menu they have any three items for $13.95. Good deal for a quick lunch. Will return.
So i have been eating here on and off for the past few years. Overall the food has been 4/5 with only a few hickups. The service hasnt always been the best. But i have recently learned that they only clean there flattop grill once a week, change the deep fryer oil once every couple of days, and that there deep fried tuna and salmon rolls they often make the night before and just let sit there till they get deep fried. And the overall state of the kitchen is gross. Im not sure how i havent gotten food poisoning from here, absolutely disgusting
Dissapointed! A $50 party tray was so small. Several variations of imitation crab are not convincing sushi options. Suggest impressing customers with uniqueness and portions not losing them by skimping cheaply.
Just ordered sushi to go in the restaurant and was told it would be ten minutes, it was speedy service but the food was underwhelming. My miso soup was lukewarm, which never has happened before when I have gotten take out. The Alaska Roll was $13 dollars and was not worth the price, it tasted okay but was super small and too tiny of a portion for the price. I love Alaska rolls and always get them when I get Sushi but usually it’s not as expensive about half the price and still bigger so I was shocked. Not worth it. I ordered a spicy tuna roll, and it was deep fried, which was not what I wanted... it tasted alright but I did not want a deep fried roll so I’m not sure where that got confused. We also got a chicken teriyaki roll and dynamite roll, they were placed in the same container and the dynamite roll also had teriyaki sauce drizzled on top... which was not a good combo. Overall, super disappointing. Sushi Plus in Aberdeen is my recommendation for Kamloops or Arigato. I am from the lower mainland , I know good sushi and get a lot of sushi on the regular and I would be cautious of this restaurant.
It wasn't very busy and food came in a reasonable amount of time. Servers were very nice and checked on us a few times to make sure all was good. Been here a few times in past and today I found rolls and cones to be smaller then usual. The quality was not the best. Maybe end of week supply. In past found it to be better.
