The fish was fresh and tasty, but... The spicy tuna roll had the dinkiest portion of fish I've ever seen in a roll. That was not the case with my salmon and avocado roll, so maybe they're just very stingy with tuna.Food: 3/5
This super dive fast sushi spot was honestly really great! The fish was high quality and this is NOT a fine dining place. This is simply lunch or takeout.
The chicken in the $16 "teriyaki chicken box" was simply inedible. Small portion? Fine. Overpriced? Fine. This is a tourist town after all. But I draw the line at the chicken smelling and tasting like dog food. I couldn't eat the chicken, but ate the rice and side salad because I was starving. My sister got udon, which was fine. Rolls were small, but at least edible unlike the chicken teriyaki.
Small space to dine-in. The cashier also acts as a server. She also answers pick-up orders. No actual waiter/waitress or buzz boy to clean the tables. I had to clean our own table. It felt like I was ordering from the food court. The food also tasted like from the food court, yet it is overpriced. For example, ocean combo 4pcs of nigiri sushi and 3pcs of salmon avocado roll and tuna avocado roll is $16.95 plus tax and tips. Not worth giving tips because there is no actual service. Oh did I mention you have to get your own tea or water?
Sushi is of course great in many places in Vancouver but this place offers a great collection for the price. We had a few of the specials and ooh the hot sake was just the right temperature and flavor. Highly recommended.
I've eaten here quite a few times, the chicken bento is always my go to. Decent size for a decent price, the sushi rolls are also quite nice opted for the chicken avo never really been disapointted here Food: 4/5
DON'T order kids donburi..It is so small it should call toddler size. I Ordered kids donburi from the Creekside store last week and have no problem with the portion so this time I order from here for the first time. When I see it, my jaw drop because the difference. The size of the container I thought Did I order any ice-cream to go? Anyway, this review is purely on the portion of the kids donburi. DON'T BUY kids donburi, save your money buy regular donburi and share with kids.
Very quick order and pick up service. The rolls are very simple and fresh, which I appreciate very much. The teriyaki bowl is a very generous portion as well.
We love this sushi place ! Great sushi served at lightning speed. The price is just right. We go here frequently. The staff is very professional and willing to serve their best. I particularly like the Agadashi Tofu and the Advocado roll . Great place !
I've been a long-time customer and it's a shame to see the quality of food and service go down so much. After waiting forever to pickup my order I get home to open my Samurai Special to see that they didn't include the "spicy" or "crunchy" additions to my roll that I paid extra to add. As well, it took until I got home to realize they forgot to give me my Miso Soup too. I should have realized sooner, but also shouldn't be up to me to remind them of that. It was a busy evening I'll give them that but I also don't feel like that should sacrifice the service this much.
