Was craving some homemade food while driving to Vancouver and came across Samosa Joes. Right when I walked in I was greeted with a warm smile by the owner, Joe. I came in just for 5 veggie samosas but left with a whole bag of samosas, his homemade tamarind sauce and an hour of genuine conversation. He offered me many free samples as he was just about to close and his samosas are the healthiest and non fatty ones I've ever tasted. What stuck most to me was his story of how he started his business and from the reviews here it seems like every encounter he has with a customer he makes an effort to connect with each and every one of them. I will definitely visit again and I hope to see many more Samosa Joe locations around Canada!
Small family shop, with the GREATEST SAMOSAS i have tried. Stopped by to pick one up for a snack and see how they are. Quickly hurried back to pick up bunch for dinner. Thin pastry like crust and loaded with flavorful ingredients. If you want to try the best SAMOSAS ever, this is your stop.
I ordered 8 pieces of veggie pakora, one paneer samosa, one potato samosa, and one butter chicken samosa. It came to $27.74 after tax, delivery, and tip. It is in line with similar restaurants around town. They all were absolutely filled. The pakora isn't quite my favourite in contrast to Haveli's or Namaste's pakora. It's still delicious, though. The samosas are definitely really high quality. A really spicy samosa variant would be awesome. The packaging is cool. They include two dips as well. Overall, I recommend giving this place a try!
A slightly different style of Samosas baked not deep fried but fantastic none the less. The experience was amazing. For a smaller shop, there was a great amount of choice and the staff welcomes you with a plethora of tasty samples. Loved the Kashmir Pink Chai Tea. Thank you for everything Samosa Joes!
Such good food!! Unique samosa flavours with awesome pastry to filling ratio. Fills you up in a good way. Plus, Joe is a great human to chat up. Order online and stop in to grab - worth it.
Really disappointed with the samosas. No flavour in any of the type of samosas. Full waste of my money. I called at store and asked for pricing and menu. He didn’t care to help me out and just tell me to go online. I wish I can give 0 star for customer service and quality of products.
This place is /5 for good food! The samosas are perfectly seasoned, the tamarind sauce is amazing, and they have good chai! They have you covered with different levels of heat, and even the mildest samosa is still well seasoned and flavourful. Get the pink chai while you're there, you won't regret it!
The best samosas!!!! Fresh, baked not fried, phyllo pastry not dough!!! Light, healthier version!!! I am hooked!!!
What an awesome experience we had today. Joe was the perfect host! He gave us samples of samosa and pakora with different sauces. His success story is really inspirational. We will definitely go back when we're in Vernon.
We decided to try Samosa Joes on a whim and we are so happy we did. The samosas, pakoras and sauces were all delicious. Joe made sure that we try a couple samples before we buy… and we were hooked!
