Currently finishing my breakfast and thought I would rave about my meal. I had eggs, French toast, bacon and sausage! All were good. No complaints. The restaurant is small and it was packed and that told me everything I needed to know! I like this place more than scrambled jakes. Definitely coming again
Akin to our regular breakfast place, that was closed today, so we checked out this location. Conveniently located in Franklin Square with plenty of parking. Comfortable dining with friendly and efficient service. Great selection of breakfast offerings, the home fries are awesome! Nice, crispy bacon and biscuits and gravy to round the breakfast special. Hubby had the ultimate omelet and was quite satisfied. Definitely recommend! Parking: Plenty of parking Wheelchair accessibility: A tight squeeze getting in, but certainly doable.
Came in on a Tuesday morning for breakfast, the place was 3/4 full. A friendly greet at the door. Attentive waitress Brandi was on her game. Ordered ultimate omelet, biscuit and gravy, grits. Food was great! Large portion of food. Clean and friendly atmosphere. I recommend giving it a try!!
Beef roast sandwich and beer roast wrap were ok, nothing terrible or great. The meat was a bit dry and onion rings were greasy. The place needs some cleaning. The booth seatson both side had crums and window side had dust and hair. We watched cleaning after some table left and notice they don't wipe seats. I used one of the hot sauce and the bottle was dirty and it was even worse under the lid.
It had been a few years since I've eaten at Sami's. Good food and good menu. My Western omelette this morning was good but not excellent. I appreciated the caramelized onions, but generally I thought the omelet was slightly on the skimpy side, and the American cheese was clearly American; maybe I could have asked for cheddar. I am not a connoisseur of biscuits and gravy, but I liked them fine. The first item that I tried to order off the menu, blueberry waffles, was not available. I don't know why they did not have any coffee cream, but all they had was coffee mate--not the same stuff as cream. Based on previous visits for breakfast and lunch I would have given it a four or five. I will give it a four. I will visit again, but may bring my own coffee.
Stopped by for a quick bite. Ordered the BLT, it came with TONS of crispy bacon, fresh tomato, and it was very filling. Even though they were very busy, nearly full, I didn’t have to wait more than a couple minutes before I was out the door and on my way.
One of Knoxville’s BEST locally owned restaurants! Sami’s Cafe DOES NOT disappoint! Both Breakfast and Lunch offerings are unmatched. You literally cannot get better food for the price. Always fresh, home styled cooking. It’ll bring back memories of a simpler time. I couldn’t be happier with my experience. Staff is very friendly, and the owner is as genuine as it gets! Just trust my word and give this place a shot. You won’t regret it!
Ok, I have mixed feelings about this place, so I'm just going to tell you about my experience, & let you decide. I want to add, that I'm highly sensitive to background noise, so I try to avoid noisy restaurants. With that said, I picked a table for just 2 people, since I was by myself. I ordered a grilled chicken chef salad. I told them to hold a few items, so the pic isn't everything that comes on it. The salad was great & way more than I could eat. My coke tasted good as well. The reason I only gave 3 stars, was that my waitress wasn't as attentive as she could have been. Also, there was an employee, who I later realized, was the owner, that was listening to news or something on his cell phone, very loudly. I thought that was kind of rude. I almost didn't mention it, because I'd like to go back again. Anyway, if you can stop in when they aren't crowded, I do recommend giving them a try. You get your money's worth. Update: I've been two more times now, and I've had the fried flounder as well as the tuna melt hoagie. Both were delicious. The service was really good too, so I've changed my 3 stars to 4 stars. As long as I continue to have good meals and service here, I'll keep coming back.
First time here. Got blueberry waffle breakfast. Waffle was not good. Blueberries were just tossed on top and waffle was way underdone. Eggs and bacon were good. Waitress checked with me when I had just started eating and did not come back by until I was almost done. I let cashier know and she was just oh sorry. Doubt I will go back
Me and my wife only support local and well samis completely dropped the ball this morning Biscuit was so hard i couldnt cut it with a fork - - waitress brought a fresh one Bacon seemed like it was cooked a month ago hard as a rock and couldnt chew it - waitress never came back after replacing Biscuit Sausage patty was hard as a rock- never checked on So for my 16.00 breakfast i had a Biscuit and gravy and 2 eggs Left 80% of the food on the plate and waitress seemed to avoid us after replacing Biscuit. When i paid my tab no questions about how was everything or even any words at all, just take your money and get out
