I went here to hike on the trails. Initially I had trouble locating the trails but found them. There's plenty of wildlife and some great scenery. I did not go all the way east but I did enjoy this adventure and will be back.
Great place for peace and quite. Ive been walking here for over 20 years, beautiful trails, and its never crowded. Perfect place to clear your mind.
This is a hidden gem. There are two playgrounds on different sides of this large nature preserve park. The larger side I am not impressed with that side gets 1 star, we found lots of trash, broken glass all over the large play area, and graffiti everywhere... Now you walk through a path or ride your car/bike over to the other side and it is gorgeous. I've never seen other kids playing over there. It's clean, beautiful, there's an owl swing set, slides, a spider web, large mushrooms Amanita Muscaria to walk or hop on, a climbing Bumblebee stack, a dragonfly seesaw, pretend large redwoods for climbing, etc... Each area has an explanation of each ecosystem. It is awesome! Probably my favorite little, private park.
When you need space, tranquility and solo time.... Take a peaceful beautiful walk in nature in the center of this hassling bustling city of KTown
Seventy acres of natural beauty with plenty of amenities such as a baseball diamond, rest rooms, picnic areas, playgrounds, nature trails, parking and much more offer a beautiful respite in this somewhat secluded setting. Great for children, small or large groups or just a place to hang out. Two entrances, north and south lead you to the parking areas. Fun for the entire family.
Beautiful Park! I've lived in Kenosha for 20 years and only discovered that there was a park near a few years back. Wonderful trails and paths. Pet friendly our black lab loves it here as well as child friendly with a large playground area on the west side of the park near the parking lot. The only complaint is the bugs that summer weather brings. Means I use the park more in the winter.
The picnic held here was a success, due in part to a very nice location! My only negative comment is in regards to the nature trail, as it seems to have been neglected since our last picnic there in 2018. The nature trail is something that several of the picnickers normally enjoy, but were surprised at it's current condition.
I really like the deep trails in this park
Looking for some peace and quiet? This is the place to find it..beautiful wooded paths dog friendly, but not crowded..good place to go for a hike and get nature back into your rhythm.
Spring development: burned off and mowed the old fields. They look barren but should recover well. The bridge is repaired. The white trout lilies and Dutchman britches are in bloom.
