Not the cheapest place and not too large, but they have a nice atmosphere. The staff is awesome and really helpful. The food is amazing. I honestly do not know anything about Venezuelan food, but I will definitely come back. They also offer take out and Ritual. By the way, they have beef and chicken pepidogs, but you can ask them to mix chicken and beef.
What an amazing restaurant for quick eats! We got the Pepito and Teque burger, both were very reasonably priced and the food was delicious, very warm and comforting! The Teque burger was very rich and cheese with some crunch from the very different bun substitute Teque. The Pepito was massive, very filling and full of flavor! They also provide you with a literal bucket of wonderful.and unique sauces to try wow the pineapple..... The arepas were also fantastic! Crunchy and full of flavor! Absolutely coming back!
Food is amazing but the service is a bit odd, there were 5 of us and our food was brought out one plate at a time with almost 5-10 minutes of wait in between plates? By the time the last person got their food the first 3 people were completely finished eating! Would go back for take out but not sure about dining in.
Had the most delicious burger in the city! Ordered the single burger, do not alter any of the topping. Leave it as is! Perfection. Cheese, egg, a signature sauce yummy! Will be back.Food: 5/5
You must must must stop here. Best service best food. So yummy. So tasty. You will not be disappointed. You will get full. You will get messy. You will be satisfied. Great service. I'm literally telling all my freinds about here and have been craving more since we left
Very nice clean place but the meat was so difficult to eat. I had to throw away all of the beef that I ordered and it was not exactly cheap for a quick fast food type place which is another issue. The food had no inspiration behind it. it just seemed like it could’ve been frozen food that they heated. However, if you’re hungry and just want something to eat, I don’t mind paying a few extra dollars. This place was very clean. The people were very nice and the food is good enough to eat I just was not inspired.
Thank you for reaching out, I’ll gladly go more in depth. Ultimately, two main factors came down to removing two stars from my experience, the meal that I received, and the manner in which it was received. First of all, the meal itself. I got the cachapa burger. I was asked if I wanted beef or chicken, and chose beef. However, there must’ve been a mix up that allowed for the beef to be cooked through so much as if it were chicken. As a result, the patty was incredibly dry. To compound to the dryness of the beef, the cachapa “buns” were of no help to this cause. I felt as though a giant sip of water was needed to swallow each bite. If the two main components of the burger were much less dry, and the ingredients acted more cohesively with one another, we’d have an amazing item on our plate. Secondly, the way the food was delivered. We were a party of five. Two of the five got their meals relatively fast. However, a considerable amount of time later, the third meal came, and well after that, the fourth. By the time meals 1 and 2 were done eating, the fifth meal finally arrived. A better timed delivery of the food would have eliminated the decisions for meals one and two to make from the following: impatiently eat right as the food is served before everyone gets their meal, or wait for everyone’s meal to arrive allowing for their meals to get cold. All in all, I thank you for requesting a more in depth response as simply “3 stars” should not be given without a proper explanation. Please do not take my recount as a rant or insult on your otherwise quite fine establishment. However, 5 stars would be given for great service and great food, a recommendation for all to enjoy. 4 stars would describe either great food OR great service with the other being adequate. But when both food AND service have been compromised in the dining experience, how could I give more than 3 stars? I hope you can read my recount with a growing mindset, and I hope you can use my experience to help your small business thrive. Thank you
Tried the new Venezuelan restaurant in Toronto, Salsa. Salsa specializes in Venezuelan street food and it is a great place to grab some food. I had the double burger no ham and my partner had the pepito. Both were covered in amazing sauces, toppings, and flavour packed mains. This was a great choice for authentic food, however the sizes are not to scale of that you would find on the actual streets of Venezuela. Especially the tequeños which were quite small - still extremely tasty though. All in all I feel that this place could be in a better location, as it is a bit out of the way. It also could benefit from some plants inside to make it more homey. Aside from those two items, it was an excellent choice for dinner.
Right around Jane and Annette, Salsa Venezuelan street food has a very modern interior feel. The staff are super friendly and are more than welcoming and are upbeat about offering advice on what you should order. Approximately 5-8 minute wait times so it's very fast and the street food appeal to it is trendy. The Pepito, chalipan and parrillas are what we ordered along with an empanada. The empanadas were small but tasty but the sandwiches are the main piece. The Pepito was around 17$ and the chalipan was 13$. They are quite large and about the size of a forearm but very tasty. The ingredients are quite simple but they also have a bunch of sauces to add even more flavour. Overall a wonderful place and definitely recommend it to those who want Venezuelan food.
This was the second time Id had this dish. My gf had the hotdog so I post the picture too. Both were good. Mine is a little pricey considering that this is not a fancy restaurant but it is worth the money. I sincerely think that this restaurant is one of the top five. I wish they had some veggies on the side. I mean this is a kinda significant downside for some people. I only eat meat when there are some veggies but this dish is so good that I eat it without any. That's how good this is. And don't forget that you get the whole box of different sauces. The corn sauce is perfection.
