This has become my go to place in the area. Considering I am a male with long hair, I'm rather particular about my barber. And, Michael was just the person I had been looking for. He is patient and will take the time to give you exactly what you want. They also give a complimentary head massage, along with the hair wash which is just amazing! The place is kept very clean and tidy and the ambience quite nice.

Nikki was great and was able to squeeze me in with her busy schedule. I had a single color no bleach, she takes her time to do my hair and the head massage was so relaxing ! Everyone were professional e.g. no chatting among staff/ place is clean. I'm happy with my hair and their service.

People working here are so nice!!! If you're looking for gentle care treatment, this salon is the place. Nikki did a root perm for me and it turned out great! My hair now has natural volume look without the rough damaged texture I've had root perm several times and the damaged dry texture was often the result. My hair feels healthy and I really like that this salon has that gentle touch to hair and scalp care. Also bonus note, salon is clean, organized and well maintained!

What a treasure of a salon. The hot towel service has been mentioned a lot and with good reason. Hair washing station lets you lie down!! I had one of the best cups of ginger tea ever, and I haven't even gotten to the hair cut yet! Calvin cut my hair. What an artist. All scissor work and the most beautiful short pixie cut. It was done weeks ago and looks better every day. I have found my new spot and I couldn't be happier!

I have been going to Salon de elephant for many years and really enjoy the friendly and professional services there. Their creative director, Calvin is amazing with great skills with cuts, colours, perm.. etc. The hair products they use are top quality and available for purchase at reasonable prices. This is the only salon I visit in Toronto, highly recommend.

Good service and atmosphere but the hairstylist doesn’t know how to cut men’s hair… She told me she won’t touch the top but ended up cutting 2 inches off I told her I usually get a fade comb over, and asked for a haircut along those lines. I already had short hair to start with so it pretty much looks like a buzz cut. All my friends and family agree it looks really bad…

Not for wavy or curly hair. I'm incredibly displeased with the junior talent. I had asked for 2 inches off and a deep V cut and the hairdresser had cut off 5 inches and gave me a near straight end cut. For wavy or curly hair, this is incredibly specific. Now a month later, I'm still annoyed and will now have to wait months to grow my hair out and have it properly trimmed.

I've got my haircut by Maria twice and I've loved the results both times : Maria is super friendly, detail oriented, and professional. I highly recommend her and Salon de elephant!! I'll definitely be returning again!Service: Hairstyling

The staff were nice and polite. Their work was good. But they charged too much for just evening out the back of my hair. $65 plus tax for 5 minutes of work.
