God bless the faithful, priests, brothers and sisters of this basilica.nnI visit from time to time this beautiful basilica, struck by its stunning architecture and peaceful atmosphere. However, my experience was somewhat marred by the extremely formal atmosphere and rigid confession schedule.nnAs someone seeking spiritual guidance, I found the tight confession schedule to be inflexible and unaccommodating. Unfortunately, I was unable to confess due to the strict time constraints.nnWhile I understand the importance of order and structure in a place of worship, I couldn't help but feel that the basilica's formal atmosphere and inflexible policies detracted from the sense of community and compassion that I've experienced in other Catholic churches.nnDespite this, I would still recommend visiting this beautiful basilica for its historical significance, stunning artwork, and peaceful ambiance. Perhaps, in the future, the basilica will consider adopting a more flexible and welcoming approach to confession and community engagement.nnThis review aims to provide constructive feedback while still being respectful of the basilica and its clergy.
We'd give 10 stars if we could. Finding a right church is so important to feed one's soul/faith, like finding the right restaurant for the stomach! We literally discovered St Patrick's accidentally while touring Ottawa. Whereas other churches we had visited in the area felt short, Pastor Fr. Steven really welcomed people in his genuine/friendly/warm ways! He even introduced his rescued dog to us . Though the church isn't air conditioned, Fr. Steve is really cool in his style! See for yourself and God bless!
This is the best church we've been to, we really love going there. Unfortunately we moved away so watch mass online. We feel that Father Stephen truly represents God's spirit on earth through this actions and presence.
I came to visit Ottawa, and I wanted to participate in the Mass. I chose this church because they offered the Mass at 7 pm on Sunday. I can say the Church is beautiful
