It’s a beautiful and historic church in the heart of Ottawa. There’s no admission fee, instead, you can make a donation to the church.nnWhether you’re visiting or coming here to say prayers, it’s definitely worth the trip.nnThe painted glasses, the craftsmanship and all the details included in them is so impressive; I could spend hours in the church, admiring the artwork. The ceiling is the most impressive part about this beautiful cathedral; I loved it.
If you like historical places I guess you may visit this building. I went there in summer as well as in winter. What I like the most about it is the story of the art inside it. You can have a tour inside it and take photos, and videos, or just pray. It is close to the National Gallery of Canada, so you can visit both on the same day.
Fantastic cathedral, with beautiful star ceiling and lots of gothic features. Free to enter, you can make a donation if you wish. Worth a quick visit if you are in the area.
The cathedral, located directly across from the National Gallery of Art, is ornate and beautiful both inside and out and well worth a visit. There is no admission, though donations are welcome and encouraged. Check for current Mass schedules when walking around and taking photos would be inappropriate.nSkip the cafe and poorly stocked gift shop downstairs: a real disappointment and, aside from the counter person and a hungry cleric, was completely empty at breakfast time.
Not always open - after a few times in Ottawa, finally able to visit the church.nnThe church is free but there is a sign requested a donation fee but it’s up to you.nnNot pet friendly.nnInside is nice and different. Interesting architecture. Small basilique. In 5-10 min is done.nnCan easily walk from the Ottawa sign by the market centre.
