Probably the best coffee shop in Victoria. A friend who was a coffee aficionado suggested that we try this cafe and get their pour over or their espresso with milk. We went with the espresso with milk and tried the Burundi and the Ethiopia. I am honestly not the best at describing coffee but I was actually able to taste the flavours of the drinks we had. The Burundi had a very unique flavour with its berry undertones while the Ethiopia had more of a floral undertone instead. Both were amazing but I personally preferred the Burundi. It was a quaint and beautifully designed cafe with very knowledgeable staff to answer any questions you may have about coffee. There was even a loft which is a great spot to just relax and people watch. Definitely a must-try for coffee lovers! We’ll definitely be coming back here whenever we’re in Victoria.
I will confidently assert this is the best coffee shop in Victoria. Really - name a better one, I’ll wait. Their coffee selection is world-class, the space itself is so on point, and every coffee - filter or espresso - I’ve had here has been nothing short of exceptional. I always make sure to pay a visit while I’m in town, sometimes multiple times in one trip!
Lovely and cozy little shop which serves straightforward amazing coffee. I tried their Kenya pour over which was great. My husband got one for himself after trying mine. We both love our coffees as well as visiting coffee shops. I’m happy I got to check them out during this trip to Victoria. Tip: there is additional working space/seating upstairs. The baristas are friendly and are passionate about their craft.
The best coffee shop to work/study from in Victoria... As well as serving superb coffee, with a rotating selection of beans for you to choose from, there is a hidden seating section upstairs with a children's area, casual seating, and two large tables which provide the ideal space to work/study from. The team is amazing, always friendly, and they really know what they are talking about when it comes to tea and coffee. As a bonus they also serve a selection of fresh, house made pastries each day. This really is a hidden gem.
Victoria is full of wonderful cafes but few have as strong a focus on coffee as does Saint Cecilia. We were recommended to come here by our good friend who happens to be a manager of Timbertrain in Vancouver and are so thankful for that! The interior is spacious and gorgeous. When we went, on offer was the world famous April Coffee Denmark. Can’t wait to come back on our next visit to Victoria.
Saint Cecilia has been on my list for quite some time now. The wait was worth it. Very friendly and professional baristas. Excellent steamed milk drinks, great croissant. Am glad I arrived early and the food items weren't fully out of the oven yet - because that croissant was worth it and I might have ordered something else. Have personally become too fussy about croissants and rarely order them. May have to reconsider. Atmosphere is open and well lit. Check out the second floor balcony. There is lots if good competition in the neighborhood. Saint Cecilia is a stand out.
These folks have Gesha beans, which are hard to find by pricey it’s worth it tho. Do try the espresso tonic as it was fantastic! The pastry we had was delicious as well. Things are more expensive here than other coffee places but that’s due to the quality of the beans and brews.
Every aspect of this coffee shop, the beans, coffee, atmosphere and customer service are all outstanding. I’ve visited this shop for over a year and every coffee has been perfect. The quality is unmatched in Victoria.
The coffee is ridiculously good! Always lots of choice with beans from around the world. The Hand Brews are extra-delightful. They take their time with their craft and it's worth it. Try some of the awesome scandi-style treats too. Very pleasing to the eye as well.
This is probably the nicest coffee shop in Victoria. They take their coffee very seriously and it shows. I've always sung its praises on my social media, but they need to step up their customer service. Last time I went, the employee was crouched behind the counter on his phone for several minutes before someone alerted him that there was a customer. Then I encouraged my husband to go and try it recently and he didn't receive good service. The employee did not explain the menu or coffee options, even when it was clear my husband didn't understand how their menu works. It's unique and either requires prior experience or a helpful employee on the first visit. They also ignored his request for cream. I understand they probably don't give cream but that should have been communicated. I believe we both experienced the same employee. Please show you care about customers by stepping up your service and I'll happily change my review to 5 stars.
