I called on the day of my appointment and they confirmed my appointment time. I show up to the St. Al's Health Plaza in Ontario first (where my appointment was scheduled); found a sign that stated they were having water damage and had to relocate to St. Al's Fruitland. I was not given this information during my phone call on the day of my appointment. I then show up to my scheduled appointment (still early); then the receptionist Michelle (who works at the Ontario clinic) stated that they couldn't see me because they hired a Medical Doctor who was unable to see patients with Oregon-related insurances. I ask if they have any other Providers I could see since I cancelled a class and work in Boise for this appointment. They said that everyone was booked and the only way I could be seen is if I paid full-price. She says they are booked for the next couple of months if I were to reschedule. I continue to inform her that this situation greatly inconvenienced me and I hoped the person I spoke to on the phone would have informed me prior to coming to my appointment. She finally stated that when she spoke to a physician in the "back" they said I shoulder go to the urgent care based on two symptoms listed in my profile. I wait patiently for one hour before they take me in. This is when a nurse takes my blood pressure (which was higher than normal: systole above 140; usually it is at or around 120). Then she leaves, I meet the Physician Assistant: Kim Wilson. I brought in a paper of my concerns I have been having as of late; explain that I am usually very healthy and very active and in the last two months I had been experiencing vision problems, muscle spasms, etc... He says "There is nothing I can do but blood samples to sort things out, you should be seeing a primary care physician (which he stated in different ways 3-5 times throughout the visit). I explained that I originally had an appointment that the individual at the front cancelled, then was sent to him. He stated that it wasn't their fault that I was scheduled with someone who couldn't see my insurance. Then he stated that my list of 6 or 7 symptoms was too long and he was not qualified to do anything but (once again) blood tests, asked me to take a "depression screening" which had very few vague questions that did not pertain to anything I was feeling. I fill out their screening; wait for them, hand it to an MA or CNA then she walks out. (Throughout this visit I had to wait multiple extended periods of time that were unexplained). She comes back in after 20 or so minutes (I didn't catch her name; she had long brunette hair), and hands me a small half sheet of paper that says to schedule a future appointment, then she closes the door. I am still waiting for my blood test to be done; so I wait. 20 minutes pass by, then the girl angrily walks in and says to go to the front to schedule. I told her I was waiting for the blood testing. She said, "no, you're are not getting that today, schedule for it later". I walk out of the room upset that 3 hours had passed by and all I was informed was 1. Couldn't keep my appointment that I originally scheduled with my primary care doctor. 2. I need to see a primary doctor for the symptoms I have (according to the PA,in the "back" I needed to see urgent care). 3. I need blood test to figure anything out, but they didn't have the means to do them while I was there. I was fairly upset; nothing was very well explained, they didn't help me, and only stalled me for 3 hours until they were closing. So I leave the room upset, leave the half piece of paper on the chair because I wasn't going to schedule for a place that didn't help and couldn't keep appointments I scheduled (or at least call me ahead of time to let me know I couldn't be seen, or even tell me when I call the day of). I told the CNA or MA that I was not going to schedule again when I didn't get any info/help. She yelled at me with uncalled for phrases, not even considering why I'm upset. Not one person apologized for any inconvenience during the entire visit.
