Sai-Lila Khaman Dhokla House

I was looking online for some Gujarati snacks and came to know about this shop. Bought Khaman for tasting purpose and we really enjoyed it! It’s yummy and mouth watering. Definitely going back to the same place for next time and will try other things.

Heads up for those who don’t want to stick till the end, *CASH ONLY* It came highly recommended from fellow Gujarati colleagues. However a trip was pending due to various reasons. It’s a small hole in the wall takeout place. The place is stacked wall to wall with Gujarati snacks and a variety of Farsan. Take your pick. We got half pound khamani and half pound sandwich khaman and hariyali khaman. Hands down the best Khaman I have had in the GTA. If you have a spice tolerance then the sandwich is recommended otherwise stick to hariyali or the regular. It came to 12.68 for the whole thing which is quiet well priced for what would be a filling breakfast for two.

Fresh stuff if you go in morning around opening time.. reasonable price and good taste..try tum tum khaman. Chutney is not provided with food

Must go place for gujarati farsan!! Had fafda jalebi from here on dussehra. It was best!!

Jalebi was ok but other stuff was good fafda, patra They only accept cash and no debit / credit which I feel is downside.

Yummy Dhokla and all other savoury we ordered. Best that they don’t use Onion and Garlic for any of their food and still makes it tasty. Freshly made food and always busy. Only accepts cash, no credit cards.Recommended dishesKhamani, Dhokea, Khamman

Best khama dhokla i have ever had, yhis place is a hidden gem if you love authentic gujju snacks. Please make sure you visit them early during the day as most of the great stuff gets over by early evening. Enjoooy!!!

They deal in cash to avoid incometax, so if you deal with them u get no proper recipt, When we bought food, we aksed if it was fresh! They said it was fresh. When we checked it in less then 2 mins after buying foodstill being in the parking lotwe went back to cahnge it to something warmer, we were ok to pay extra but the person at the front declined that they don't exchange. NOW, we didn't have proper recipts to argue with them. Food was Cold and tasted like bad quality. Doesn't deserve more then one star. For customer service I would give them negative reviews if I could. Over all a bad experiance interms of food and customer service. They are doing same unethical practices here as they probably would do back home.

One of the best place to have some of the Indian foods. Samosa is the best item i liked here. Samosas are less oily and crunchy with mashed potatoes. One can visit here to get Dhokla, khaman, khandvi, kachouri and many more. Try one kachouri kind of dish with coconut filled inside. I didnt liked sweets but rest of the items are so good that they deserve 5 star rating.

Really disappointed with customer service. Went there talked in local language, The counter person was treating me like as if he was for giving away for free. After asked for several things, got something and it wasn't even fresh nor even heated properly. The taste was good though.
