Datta Pizza Daaa

A great place to grab vegetarian pizza on the go! Bought a large pizza with 4 toppings, a tasty and spicy dipping sauce to dip that pizza crust in and a soft drink to digest it. It was worth the wait especially during a snow storm. I highly recommend checking this place out especially since Datta food has been well-known for being a genuine and respectable vegetarian restaurant with great vegetarian curries and delights. I had a hankering for quick, satisfying, risk free food. So I asked my friend what was what, and they replied "Datta Pizza Daaa". I had no idea what the name meant, but I dove in on good authority. Datta Pizza is a small pizza shop along Middlefield Road in Scarborough. This is purely a takeout spot, so you'll be in and out. Word to the wise though, call ahead, because apparently these pies take a fair amount of time to bake. The draw to this restaurant is that it's a purely vegetarian pizzeria. No meat in sight, which I imagine is great for true vegetarians. When it came to the pizza, I ordered a red pie with mushrooms, black olives, sundried tomatoes, garlic, and mango. Sow how was it? Unfortunately it was overhyped. Probably because it was a suggestion from vegetarians who were starved for pizza options. The crust and overall pie dough were not particularly note worthy, and the marinara was OK for fast food. The best part of the pizza was certainly the toppings, especially the sundried tomatoes' sharp sweetness, and the uniqueness of the mango. The best part of the entire meal was definitely their spicy poutine. One of my pet peeves is going to an American restaurant, ordering something labelled "spicy", and having my mouth feel slightly warm at best. God bless ethnic restaurants for not playing with my emotions and giving me genuine spice. If I'm not uncomfortable from the heat, it's not spicy. Their non-traditional poutine is served with thick cut fries, gravy, cheese, and things like red onions, jalapeño peppers, and red pepper to make the dish unique. All in all, I think Datta Pizza is a cool choice for vegetarians looking to try something new. I personally won't be heading back because the pizza isn't calling me, and poutine alone isn't enough.

Had the pan pizza with veggies and it was delicious. The crust is soft and crispy and the toppings are great especially the soy. The ranch dipping sauce is also unique and very tasty. It has made my list of top three pizza spots in the markham/Scarborough area. The prices are really good also, One large pan pizza, dip and drink is $10.

I was expecting more paneer on my pizza, u can charge more but less chunks of paneer hurts Why?

This is my go to place and I love almost everything here .. sometimes few items are not very tasty but I let go mainly because of how tasty other items are Best Indian pizza ever had .. I cannot count the number of times I had the soya pizza from here Very very busy at times but worth it

One of the better tasting pizzas I've had. Italian Indian fusion which may sound off at first but after having tried it, it makes so much sense. Even my gf who's pretty picky eater and not a fan of pizza, agreed that this is an exception. And I've consistently had a great experience. Ask the owner for recommendation if unsure. He's never disappointed me so far but YMMV. I love discovering local jems like these.

This pizza is so good! I can't even lie it's amazing. There is so much cheese and the crust is soft. The pan pizza is the best! Better even than pizza hut pan pizza. I'm not Indian so I had some reservations about the toppings, but the spicy soya is soooo good, and not even too spicy. It was always good whatever topping I ordered. Just remember they are vegetarian, but you won't even notice with the delicious pan pizza crust and all the cheese, mmmmmmm!

Food taste quite good for an all veggie shop! Everytime I've been there, it has been packed so bet ready to stand in a line. Definitely need to fix the parking situation in that location as it's very tight and crowded

The Pizza is very nice taste amazing! My mom doesn't eat pizza but when she tried your she is addicted so am I!! Especially the pizza with the soya and paneer topping, just amazing 5 out of 5 definitely recommend!

Vegetarian poutine and pizza, super great value and great tasting food. I ordered Datta pizza for the first time with friends while watching the 2019 NBA finals and we were blown away by the pizza. Toronto also won everytime the bottom of the pizza wasn't burnt.
