I recently had the pleasure of dining at Saffron Indian Cuisine for their buffet lunch, and I must say, the experience was truly delightful. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness by the staff, setting a positive tone for our visit. The interior design of the establishment is noteworthy; it exudes an ambiance that is both calm and inviting, complemented by a clean environment that enhances the overall dining experience. The buffet itself offered a variety of dishes that were not only hot but also exceptionally flavorful.nIn conclusion, my visit to Saffron was marked by excellent service, an aesthetically pleasing environment, and delicious food. I would not hesitate to return for another buffet lunch and highly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking a pleasant dining experience
I went today with a friend for the lunch buffet. We used to go for this then it was discontinued. My friend let me know it was back so we had to go back. The food was as good as we remembered if not better. The butter chicken was still the star of the buffet with big chunks of chicken and rich flavor. The tandoori chicken was tender with lots of flavor. The curry chicken was very good as was the paneer.nnWe will be going again soon for the buffet and the very friendly service.
We were in the Burnaby area today looking for a place to have lunch. My friend suggested an Indian restaurant that came highly recommended by his foodie friend. The last time I had Indian food was a few years ago, so I was excited to try it again.nFinding parking wasn’t easy—we drove around the neighborhood three times before finally spotting a street pay parking spot. Luckily, we found one just in time!nRight at the entrance, we saw a sign announcing their daily lunch buffet from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM. That got me even more excited—I love buffets because they let me try a variety of dishes. It was around noon when we arrived, and while it wasn’t too crowded at first, more and more people started coming in shortly after.nThe restaurant had a warm and inviting atmosphere, with beautiful decorations, especially the family photos on the wall, which seemed to tell the owner’s family story.nThe buffet selection was impressive. The salad bar had a variety of fresh vegetables and dressings, while the hot food section offered a great mix of dishes. My favorites were the tandoori chicken, baked curry cauliflower, deep-fried jackfruit, and paneer cheese. Even the rice was perfectly cooked.nAt $24 per person, it was an excellent deal for an all-you-can-eat experience with such flavorful and satisfying food. If you’re in the area and craving Indian cuisine, I highly recommend this place!
Saffron Indian Cuisine is by far the best Indian restaurant here in Burnaby, and probably in the Greater Vancouver area. We tried their Korma beef, and it was incredibly flavorful—perfectly paired with their soft, warm naan. The butter chicken was rich and indulgent, just as it should be. We also enjoyed their Biryani rice bowls with chicken, which were hearty and satisfying. To top it all off, we had their double-down dessert: Gulab Jamun dunked into their famous kheer a sweet pudding. It was the perfect way to cleanse the palate after such a delicious meal. If you're in the area, you have to give this place a try!
Sunita assisted us in serving a meal. Very nice person and assisted in ordering. Biryani was ok. The drink was good.
