Safeway Okotoks

Good access and parking. Next to a McDonalds if you're hungry or thirsty. Typical Safeway. Good selection, decent prices. Pharmacy is informative and helpful as well as meat and produce if you have a question. Has a Starbucks, hot food deli and florist. Enjoy.

This Safeway is conveniently located, and gets by on that fact alone. It has some of the worse fresh produce and bakery items of any of the major grocery chains. If you're looking for fresh, same-day made, healthy items found in those locations, you're better served going to Sobey's (co-owned surprisingly), and Save-On, both of which are just down the street. Though most people are lazy and put up with the lousy selection because this place is located close to a lot of residential areas. Otherwise everything in this store is adequate.

My husband & I have been shopping at this store for 14 years. The staff are pleasant & helpful. Most weeks there are excellent specials in all departments.

I do not find the staff very helpful. I also find the prices are slightly high. The produce is better than average quality, but the bakery is lacking. Large store with a wide variety of products, and usually there are enough tills open to accommodate the amount of customers trying to pay. There's also a little Starbucks inside, which is a nice touch. Overall, the price is a bit high for the quality, and I don't find the staff as pleasant as other grocery stores.

Good quality produce, decent bakery and meat department, adequate deli. Great floral options. Staff are helpful and polite.
