I experienced the rudest store manager this morning when I tried to return some margarine that I had bought yesterday. He accused me of not keeping it in the fridge and said he had to temperature check it. It’s one molecule away from plastic - even if I didn’t keep it in the fridge which I did I’m sure it wouldn’t be bad! I never even got a good morning or goodbye. Didn’t start off my day well. I’ve never had problems, returning anything to the Safeway before. I hope he reads this but with his attitude I don’t think he’d care anyway
This Safeway is always stocked with the nicest vegetables. I do like the aisles of ethnic foods, it’s always a little busy as it is a smaller grocery store. Staff are friendly. The parking lot is quite tight.
Today morning, I made some of purchases for breakfast from here. When I back to home, I opened the egg box and an egg was missing in the package. I immediately called the store and spoke with customer service. They said either they can give me a new box of eggs or refund. I told him that I really did not understand how such a thing could happen and also it is unacceptable and thanked and hung up. However, later on, this was a big shock cause other serious issue that the blueberry I bought. The blueberries are spoiled. That cannot be truly excused. I will take everything I bought and return it. Not sure if I would shop again.nnIt doesn’t fit with SAFEWAY name unfortunately so the question is what the SAFEWAY means. They have to look what they are doing more seriously.
The store is small, which is great for quick shopping visits. This location is outdated and lacks self-checkouts. But they do have the friendliest cashiers in the neighbourhood.nnOff all the stores in this neighborhood, I tend to come here the most. Prices are high, but they have good sales.nnIt’s easy to collect points with the Scene card and the Safeway app.
Vey nice service, lots of options to choose from, can be a bit expensive but great local grocer.
