OLD -SCHOOL! This is a real diner, not some place trying to recreate the diner experience. It’s the real deal. Reasonable prices but more importantly, great food and service. Pay cash and save 10% off your meal. My only regret it not saving room for pie.

This place feels like the platonic ideal of a diner. They've got pie, they've got a fun retro interior, they've got a no-frills menu that delivers big portions at surprisingly cheap prices. I was visiting from out of town, but if I lived nearby I'd dine here often.nP.S. I think they take debit, but they prefer cash!

I love a good diner but this place needs some work. The food was fairly bland, and my snack pack came with only two 2 mozzarella sticks. When my waitress brought my water and coffee to my table she didn't have room in her hands for the small bowl of dairy creamer that comes with the coffee so she stacked it inside my cup of water and the bottom of the bowl was inside the water.. I couldn't drink it, I got the ICK. Won't be coming back by choice, sorry:

My wife and I decided to eat at S&Js tonight before going to buy groceries, I had eaten there 14 years ago, it was good then and it's good now, we were both very happy with our meals, my fries and fish were excellent and my wife enjoyed the fish cakes.nMy wife and I want to return for the seafood platter.nI strongly recommend this restaurant.
