Story

Rye Tavern is the perfect rustic setting to enjoy fresh, local food and drink. The kitchen team works closely with local farmers to source ingredients for the frequently-changing brunch and dinner menus; and the bar is always stocked with an array of local spirits, craft beers, and a wide variety of suburb wines. Our expansive patio seating offers an unparalleled seasonal dining experience; but our homey farmhouse aesthetic-- original exposed beams, brick fireplaces, and all--is equally inviting in the winter months.

We are open every day--for dinner from 5:00pm to 9:00pm (10:00pm on Friday and Saturday) and for brunch from 11:00am to 3:00pm on Saturday and Sunday. Come join us for a drink or a meal!

The food was in between so-so and good. I have been on a steak binge as of late and they had a dry aged prime sirloin on special. The term "dry aged" made me salivate. However, I was not impressed. If you are going to dry age beef do it with a rib eye, porterhouse, or NY strip which all have more fat which equals more flavor. Thus I will stick with the three stars for now and give this another review shortly after I try something else there. I here the chowda is excellent and a meal unto itself. Plus, the seared scallops looked good at the table next to us. Service is excellent but it's a bit pricey. Dress warm as the old house is cold.

Excellent food. All made from scratch and mostly from local farms. Bar has a strong pour. Inner dining room is small. Recommend reservations. Outdoor seasonal bar is fun in the summer.

Totally enjoyable and kicked back restaurant. Takes you back with the exterior and interior design of this old farmhouse and now restaurant. The food selection was good for the average eater or if you like duck that is also available. Food and drinks for 4 with tip just under $200 dollars.

I had one of the best hamburgers I've ever had. Staff was very attentive. Menu was up scale. But the food was delicious.

Atmosphere is perfect, food is fantastic and service is outstanding! Always a great experience!
