The Petite Filets were excellent, perfectly cooked and very tender. The steaks came out sizzling as promised. The Garlic Mashed Potato was delicious, very creamy as mashed potato should be. Grilled shrimp big and tasty and Sizzling Crab Cake, a lot of crab meat and very little filler. The cocktails were fine but for the price could be a bit bigger and fancier. The Chocolate Sin cake was decadent and rich, very tasty perfect for sharing. The coffee was a medium roast, nothing special except for the price, $6 a cup The service was interesting and very professional. Very little time was spent with our main server since he was very busy running around. Luckily for him lot of assistance to help him out. They mess up my order but made for up by comping the Shrimp. The ambiance of the place is very big, bright and comfortable considering you’re stuck in a basement.
My first time at Ruth's Chris and overall I felt like it was okay. We went with a group of about 6 people. My friend and i split the 40 oz porterhouse, which we ordered medium rare. It actually arrived quite rare, but the first couple pieces had the cook finished at our table on the hot plate of butter. The hot plate of butter at the table is a neat touch, the only problem is the plate cools over time so the later pieces weren't able to finish the cook, so the pieces remained quite rare. Service was both good and not so good in my opinion. Good in the sense that the staff were quite friendly, I believe the manager even came out to help bring out the hot butter plates. Everyone seemed quite pleasant. The not so good was that the waitress unfortunately forgot the soup that I ordered which was $20 so it didn't come out until our steaks came out, which kind of messed with the timing of finishing the cook at the table even more. I feel like at a place that markets itself as more high end, most places would knock the soup off the bill because of that, but not the case. Then our bills were not split properly despite us confirming who ordered what. I feel like having tried this, the Keg, and a higher end like Jacob's, I'd rather either go more budget for the Keg which I know will be good value for money, or just go Jacob's which I know will be a high end experience.
The appetizer shrimp was absolutely delicious and had the yummiest sauce. The 16oz steak was cooked perfectly medium rare and was sizzling! Absolutely an amazing steak, the mushrooms were so good and a decent portion! The fries were delicious and a huge portion! The salmon was tasty and peppery, really enjoyable! They surprised the birthday man with a slice of cake which was a lovely touch. The service was amazing, the only thing was food took a bit to come out but not that serious. They deserve the five stars.
For anyone who has not been to Ruth's Chris, you would be well served to ask the amazing staff for their recommendations, depending on what you're in the mood for and how hungry you are. Our server was one of the best in the business, Lorne. Every suggestion off the menu was bang on perfect. From the shrimp voodoo to the surf & turf and everything in between, it was all spot on delicious. The atmosphere was above par and the dining experience was unparalleled. As a first time experience, I can say without a doubt, that I will be back to enjoy the food and excellent service provided by Ruth's Chris steak house. And I will be bringing company.
Connected with my girl for a spur of the moment catch up. I was definitely not dressed to dine here but they made me feel welcomed. The service was AMAZING!!! Our server was charming and knowledgeable with some great suggestions. And the food was sooooo tasty. Thank you for a fun experience. Will be back for sure
We had low expectations because the location in Etobicoke by airport had poor service/ugly ambiance and the location in Niagara Falls has crazy, jacked up prices in US dollars. Wow, we were pleasantly surprised as we went to celebrate our anniversary! We were greeted with a personalized card and decorations in the table. The petite fillet with mashed potatoes was perfection-as was our amazing desert. Our server Lidia made us feel so welcome and special-she is amazing. Wow just an amazingly good meal from every point of view. Thank you!
We went here for my birthday and the foods were amazing, cocktails and wine recommendations were awesome! Atmosphere was perfect especially the manager in here he provided an amazing service that asked us first if we need photo of us, and took it for us before we requested. Plus he gave us free espresso, mashed potatos on the house ! Thank you so much for the awesome memorable dinner ever
Overall an amazing evening at Ruth’s once again. Every dish was super flavourful. Shrimp voodoo - super crispy, lightly glazed in a spicy sweet sauce, would get again Stuffed chicken - very flavourful, crispy skin and good size Onion rings - very crispy and the largest rings i’ve seen haha ! Lamb chops - these were to die for! So good. I asked for medium rare, portions of it were a little bit on the rare side but still very good over all Fresh Berries & Cream - If you are looking for a dessert that’s light and not too sweet, definitely try this. The cream is velvety and smooth and the berries are great. Great customer service too ! By the way, they have a Halal menu, so request that if you like. Thanks
So fair warning, this restaurant is super expensive. But the service was unparalleled. I was blown away by all the service from all the staff. The food was really impressive and all my peers who had steak were head over heals in love with it. If you are okay dropping a pretty penny for dinner this is the place for great food and service. ***VERY LGBTQ friendly
First off, what a beautiful place. It’s a gorgeous gem! The service was very impressive, and the selection of drinks was perfect! Let’s get to the good stuff. Our steaks where sizzling as they came to our table, so much so, that we where told to hold up our material napkins so that they don’t splash us. It’s definitely a place to come and enjoy a nice sizzler ;- we had a really good time
