I started walking a couple of years ago to loose weight and lower my blood pressure. A friend recommended I check the Running Room out for sneakers and I'm so glad I did. I had no idea how much of a difference the right shoes would make. They helped me out , watching how I walked and rolled my ankles and suggested several pairs and after many trials found some sneakers that really made a difference in my ability to walk. No more shin splints. I've gone back several times. The folks know their business and are very helpful!
