This was my first visit at the Rudd clinic for a colonoscopy and overall was very positive. The nurses were wonderful. So were the doctors. Dr Taylor worked collaboratively with me to determine the best course action regarding anesthesia. I felt like my wishes were heard and I understood their assessment needs. The nurses in the recovery room were exceptional too. This was much nicer than my first colonoscopy at another clinic with different staff, which was much less pleasant. Thank you.
I waited 1.5 months for my appointment here. The day before my appointment, I received a telephone call asking me to come in an hour earlier. I agreed and ended up waiting nearly 50 minutes. That was a little annoying and pointless. I had a two-minute meeting with the doctor, who was very pleasant. He advised me to return to the original surgeon who performed the surgery on me and further advised me to ask my family doctor for a referral. I told him that I repeatedly asked my family doctor for a referral to the original surgeon who performed the surgery on me, but she insisted otherwise. Accordingly, he consented to make the referral directly.
I had a very good experience for my examination procedure yesterday at the clinic. From beginning to the end all of the nurses, assistants and the attending doctor were very friendly, helpful and attentive. It made me very relaxed about the whole procedure. I really appreciated the detailed explanation that the Doctor gave me for the results of the test.
I've been to the Rudd clinic three times now, in my opinion it's very well run with dedicated staff, I was well looked after and Dr Taylor was fantastic very clear and supportive. I do have to say when the Nurse came to get me she showed me to a cubicle. As I was getting undressed, I heard another nurse speak to her and she said oh he's here, the nurse replied yes I just went and checked, they hadn't even put it on the computer! I'm only mentioning this as there has been quite a lot of comments about reception and people being missed, I was the only one in the waiting area at that time, so it wasn't busy. The main thing for me was the fantastic way the medical staff handled the process for me, it's really hard to pull off this type of service in an over burdened health care system. Thanks to all at the Rudd! I will now be asking for all my procedures to be done there.
The 3 stars are for the doctors only. I deducted 2 stars due to how unprofessional and rude the front staff is. My senior mother had a procedure booked which we had to reschedule as they weren't able to get a prescription for the procedure on time. My mother lives with my father who is also a senior and they have language barriers. I live in another town and at the time was 9 months pregnant. I called the clinic asking to reschedule more than 48 hours in advance the very abrasive and incredibly insolent receptionist named 'Piper' asked for the reason for the rescheduling. When I told her she laughed and while on the phone with me goes to her co worker,"can you believe these guys are rescheduling because they couldn't find the prescription?" She asked why my mother couldn't find it elsewhere, I told her they are seniors they don't have access to a vehicle to be driving at different locations. While continuing to speak over me Piper had the audacity to ask why I couldn't help my mother. I told her I live in a different town and I am 9 months pregnant, I can't be running around trying to find a prescription for my mother. When she finally rescheduled the appointment, I asked her if there are any cancelation fees to which she replied, "No but there should be". This receptionist kept crossing the line and was completely out of place and unprofessional with her comments and unwarranted questions. Your job is to be a receptionist, kindly stick to that and leave the questions for the doctors. Prior to this awful experience, another receptionist was very condescending and rude when asking her to go over the procedure prep. The doctors and nurses are great and were very kind to my mother when she finally had her procedure done. The front desk staff need to be trained on basic etiquette and manners.
I have been a patient of RUDD Clinic for a while. I am extremely happy with the professionalism of the doctors and the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. Usually, as soon as you attend the first consultation appointment, your procedures are scheduled very fast. My only comment is, if possible, to try and shorten the waiting period for the consultation appointment as it can take months. Overall, I would for sure recommend the clinic.
It took a while for me to get an appointment for the procedure. However, once booked, everything went smoothly and efficiently. The staff were professional and courteous! My husband the same excellent experience one year ago. We highly recommend this clinic!!!
I had a colonoscopy yesterday at the Rudd Clinic. The organization of the whole procedure, I found impressive! I arrived earlier as requested, was taken almost immediately to the cubicle where I was asked to partially disrobe and put on a gown. Fairly quickly, an IV was inserted in a vein and I was wheeled into the surgery. Dr Abawi explained again what the procedure would be, the anesthetic was started and I was gone. Came to as I was wheeled back to the recovery room. This was the fastest I've ever woken after an anesthetic with no side effects. My friend came to get me 2 hours after the procedure. Today, I feel perfectly back to normal. I thank Dr Awadi, the anesthetist and all the nursing staff for their gentleness and efficiency.
Every aspect of my visit was excellent, with the exception of the doctor who performed the procedure. I'm a bit of a nervous patient, so was grateful that everyone from the intake nurse to the anesthesiologist took the time to introduce themselves and talk me through what their role was and what I could expect. The doctor who performed the procedure barely said as much as "hello" before I was being rolled on my side and the sedation was being administered. Considering the intimate nature of the procedure, I didn't appreciate his approach. I might consider Provis Rudd for another procedure but I'd request a different doctor.
The staff here are incredibly kind and patient. Dr. Taylor is a great doctor who really cares about his patients. I truly feel he listens to and addresses my concerns and makes me feel like an active participant in my treatment.
