RUBS American BBQ

Staff was super friendly. Drinks were really good! Disappointed with the food. They advertised a cheesy filet mignon platter everywhere on the menus and in the washrooms and online and they do not have any.. wife opted for a salad for a second choice. They did not have salad... Their version of the blooming onion was fantastic.. their jalapeno poppers were amazing.. specified I wanted no pink in my hamburger came to me pink pink in the middle I was told that they could not cook it more than this because it was a smoked Burger... It was beyond a little pink it was damn near raw in the middle.. Took it home cooked it in the frying pan .. ended up just fine when I re-cooked it the next day.. the french fries were hard cold and flavorless.. my son had a similar Burger ate it as is and had hardcore diarrhea the next day.. going to give it three stars nonetheless and chalk it up to them having a bad day..

Worth the drive from Montreal! Hard to find a good smokehouse of this quality. The staff were very friendly. Spent some nice time chatting with the owner after supper.

Best service I’ve experienced in a restaurant. Even short staffed, everyone was smiling and were super professional. On top of all that, delicious meal! Meat was perfect! Will definitely be back!

I've been there twice so far and I absolutely love it. It became one of my top 5 favorite restaurants after the first time I went. I can confidently say that anything you try at that place tastes amazing.Food: 5/5

Excellent service. The waitress that served me was very sweet and charismatic. I’ve always loved Rubs, but it was my first time going to the one at Dagenais, it had a certain quality to it that really made it stand out in the best way. I will definitely be coming back!

OK place, ok selection of beers, good service, food greasy tho, had Mac n cheese in the past and was ok but layer of oil at bottom of bowl. Had the nachos with braised brisket, cannot recommend; was served cold with cheese whiz melted type of cheese, and a good portion of brisket was the meat's fat. Sticky floors as you walk around. The back of the banquette booth seat was wobbly, so you can feel EVERY moves from the person sitting behind you.

Love their ribs and fried chicken. Staff is always friendly. The only thing I don't like is that they charge you for sauce the chicken should come with sauce. I definitely recommend this place.Food: 5/5

My experience at RUBS on Saturday Feb 25th was not that great. Quite Frustrating to be honest. We were 38 people, reservation was for 5:30pm. We were seated quickly by our waitress. Who was also the waitress for all 38 people + other tables she was serving. She placed our orders through an electronic device and a man whom I believe was the owner and a busboy would help bring out the food and drinks right after. The man warned us to have patience with our waitress to make sure she properly takes our orders. Also asking us to stay in our seats for efficiency. To which of course we respected. In all honesty, our waitress was not attentive. Her way of taking orders even when everyone was seated, was an absolute mess. She missed a few people and completely forgot to take their orders. After raising my hand and waving at her a couple of times, I decided to get up and go to her directly and tell her that she missed a few peoples orders. But the most frustrating part of her service is that she DID NOT want to hand out the bills to people that needed to leave! I had a couple that had asked for their bill at 9pm they were done eating by 8:30pm and they only got their bill at 10pm!! Her question was and in my opinion a mindless question : "is it for the whole table?" Like what the heck??? I also had asked for my bill at 9:30pm. Mind you, we are well aware that she is serving other tables. Hence the fact we were kind enough to patiently wait for an hour for our bills!! But serisouly, what was the purpose of taking every ones order and asking if it was paid together or separately? Alright, she probably wanted to be efficient and had them all printed out in one shot but it's every costumers right to have their bill when they please! We are paying costumer and may have to leave earlier than others for X reasons! We were almost being held hostage! Insane after what happened to their resto not long before our event. In the end, she continued to give out everyones bill the way she intended to in one shot. But guess what, she got many of our bills incorrect and was scrambbling around!!! She should have given the bills to those that wanted their bills in the first place and then would have less people to deal with!!! Most frustrating service I have ever experienced in my life! If I do decide to come back and dine here, I would make sure that she in particular would not serve us. The food was good but not great. Some of our guest had to ask for their plates to be returned because it was served cold. My mac and cheese wasn't hot either. Very disappointing to say the least.

The food and drinks were good. Not exceptional. A real South American style restaurant. Service was great.
