1/2 chicken with rice and salad: the rice is so good, flavorful almost curry like taste and just right in terms of moistness. Salade is mixed greens, pretty basic, sauce is too sweet in my opinion. Chicken is perfectly seasoned, just the right amount of heat and flavor. The main weak point is that they don't put enough sauce on the chicken. Like the chicken thigh is moist and juicy, but the chicken breast was sooooo dry and we didn't have much sauce to lessen the dryness. Poutine week: Good combinations of flavors, but not generous in sauces. Popcorn chicken is store-bought and refried, so nothing special same as pizza pizza. Still good. Overall, the portions are generous ans the chicken THIGH and rice are suuuuper delicious. would come back. The poutine is limited edition so did not count in the scoring.
We’re recently visiting family in Montreal. My husband is Portuguese and very happy to try this restaurant. The young girl tgat waited on us was very nice Alexandrine the chicken was delicious as was the poutine that had chorizo and chicken on it. Too bad we don’t have one in Halifax…
The quality of the chicken was great. But it tasted more like regular grilled chicken vs Portuguese style chicken. The chorizo was also good quality but was undercooked. I enjoyed the fish bites but the rest of my family didn’t. It wasn’t a bad experience but maybe disappointing. It just stings since we paid almost 120$ for a birthday treat and it wasn’t what we are accustomed to when having Portuguese style food.
Being American but living so close to Montréal, I try to get into the city whenever possible. The Poutine Portugais was worth driving from another country, y'all. Outstanding. Also, the service was excellent. The store itself does a great job with creating atmosphere with a typical strip mall style building. I'll absolutely be going back. Vegetarian options: There's a huge menu. Kid-friendliness: Any family with polite kids would love it here. Parking: Very easy, off-street parking.
This place could be 4-5 stars but its not consistent in quality and portion size. Prices are creeping up and it seems portions are shrinking. The kiss of death for any restaurant Don't shrink the portions customers expect what they usually used to get. If the prices have to go up - just work the prices. Keep them honest by calling it like it is or maybe not going as often.
First experience at Casa Santos. I was not deceived! A whole chicken with a big portion of fries to go, a perfect portion for 2 adults and 2 children. The chicken was very good, well cooked and well seasoned. The hot sauce was very good. The fries are really, really good and crispy! I will definitely go back. The order took 25 minutes I recommend calling before going.
We’ve tried Brazas, La Fiamma and more. This is the real deal. The tenderest chicken with the perfectly balanced sauce. Our go to from now on.
Amazing Portuguese chicken ! Service is always friendly and super quick. Portions are huge and always tasty highly recommend their poutines!!
Very Delicious and flavourful. We had the leg combos, very big portions and had great service when we ate inside! Would definetely recommend this place and cannot wait to go back. Enjoy!!
The of Saints @casasantosresto is the newest grill in the 450 . = np & the place is nice but a bit tight especially when they’re busy. Service is friendly but a bit at times at the cash but the food makes up for it. Jacky says it’s the best grilled in the area. is crispy & juicy & the bifanas are.
