Royal Oak - Orleans

The quality has gone downhill. Portion sized decreased and price increased. The shrimp po' boy was disgusting. The shrimp was overcooked to a rubber bullet consistency and the sandwich was bland. The French onion soup is okay, but I can make much better soup myself for less money. Their location is so convenient for me, but I won't be going back. I find them way overpriced with a below average quality of food.

Went for dinner and was pleasantly surprised. My spouse had fish and chips (which he enjoyed...not greasy!) and for me, I went with a Scotia pot pie served with two sides- mashed turnip and potatoes. The dish was quite tasty and perfect for cold weather. Only thing I would have preferred to have had is vegetables instead of two mashed sides (my preference). We'll be back for sure!

Worst pub I've ever been to. The beer sucks, the food sucks, the service sucks, the music sucks, and everything is overpriced. I can make a better burger for two bucks in a microwave. Your food is the blandest thing I've ever tasted. I went a number of times and rarely ever had good service. It can take 15 minutes for anyone to approach your table, they'll wait a half hour before coming to check for refills. All of this when it isn't even busy. When we waited 20 minutes for the check one time we just left cash on the table and left. When we came back, the manager tried to scold us (we're adults), called my friend asian (he is white) and said we should come get her at the bar if we need anything. What's the point of going to a restaurant if I have to get up and do everything myself? Get a life. No tip for you. Ridiculously overpriced food for the portion and quality, slow service and rude useless manager. At least other royal oaks have better servers. Be warned there are often loud groups of drunk old men who gather here, and they have live music on Fridays (I think) that is so loud you can't talk over it. So my friends and I decided Connors down the street is the place to go.

The go to place if you live in Orleans. Great staff and great food. Specials are great, good selection of brews on tap. Nice atmosphere. This is coming from guy who used to live in the market.

Hi went to Orlean buff way to long. Wait decided to expire discovered royal had good pub style meal my lady and I decided great experience not rushed atmosphere make it our go to place can’t wait till spring and see if patio available
