Moxie's Grill & Bar

I had the chicken enchiladas, salted caramel and pecan cheesecake and the house-made hard lemonade. I was pleased with the food. I wasn't impressed with the lemonade. It just tasted like water with way too much lemon juice in it. There wasn't enough sugar and I was struggling to taste any alcohol at all. Not worth what I paid for it. Overall, you can get the same or better elsewhere in Ottawa for less.

Great service, food arrived in timely manner. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Love the chicken wings here and the dips. Dessert is always yummy. Ample parking and bus accessible. Washrooms always clean

There is a dearth of good restaurants in Orleans so Moxie's makes it to the top of our "go-to" list mostly by default. Our experiences at this location have been generally good but watch out for really busy times. The kitchen occasionally either sends out the food too soon (ie steaks come out rare instead of medium rare) or the food has been sitting under an inadequate warmer (calamari is better hot than lukewarm). On the plus side the staff are generally attentive. It was a little annoying bordering on humorous however that the last time we we're there, the hostess must have come by at least a half dozen times in the last half our of our visit to see if our booth was still occupied. All in all though nothing about this place will prevent us from returning.

The service was fantastic: our waitress brought a sample of the showcased drink to be sure that i wanted it. I didn't appreciate the fact that there were shrimp mixed with the calamari for the appetizer. My ribs were tasty and tender and the showcased peach drink was good.
