Had the "No. 1 Fish & Chips," since fish & chips us the mark of any pub. It was fantastic. Just the right amount of crisp, great fish, and their fries were perfect. On top of that, their tartar sauce with dill is delicious. Service was great and even though it was supposed to be a busy night, it never felt crowded and we didn't wait long.

We were seated in a large comfortable booth on a freezing cold day. The staff were friendly and attentive. I enjoyed my Shepherd's Pie.  The side salad was fresh and served with a tasty dressing. The pub has seen lots of wear. So I would not call it a fancy place. The bathroom was clean.

The people and stuff here are amazing the prices are great and the atmosphere is really good. This is a great place to stop if you have a chance
