I've been at this clinic twice now as just a walk in appointment, and been very happy with the treatment each time. The staff are kind and prompt. The doctor is very clear on what he is going to do and asks you for permission before doing any type of examination and also explains why he is doing things while he is doing them. Which is awesome. Bonus points that he speaks fast because I can't stand people that speak normal speed lol. The only thing that would change this to a 5 star review would be if it was a scent free clinic. I think everyone in there including the doctor was wearing some type of cologne or perfume and I'm allergic.
I had a great first appointment with the doctor. The receptionist was helpful. Since my initial visit I have had a few other appointments where contacting the clinic has been brutal and less than helpful. When I do get an appointment I have had to wait more than an hour past the scheduled appointment time to even be escorted to a room where I then waited for another half hour to be seen by the nurse practitioner who debated why I was there in the first place. Finally when the doctor did come in it was less than a 5 minute check and I was handed a prescription.nnSeating is limited and super crowded for the number of doctors and patients at any given time in such a small space. And this does not account for any number of additional walk in patients that come in to be seen.nnIn a time where people need family doctors and it is so difficult to find one this has made the times when I need to be seen very painful. I book an appointment to be seen and book in advance. Yet when I do arrive I am not normally informed that the doctor is running behind and the reception staff has also not been very helpful as of late. Today at I was informed that the doctor is running at least a half hour behind. Perfect way to tie up the rest of my day as if he is already this far behind and I check in 5-10 minutes ahead of my scheduled appointment I can almost guarantee that I won’t be seen until mid afternoon.nnI appreciate how busy the doctors are and the need for them is never ending, but this clinic doesn’t seem to be very organized to deal with what they have come in the doors.nnSad really, but almost feel like I need to completely clear my day to sit in a clinic to wait to be seen.
I have to make appointments at least twice a month, because they will only see you for 1 issue at a time including an appointment for refills. On average waiting anywhere from 1-4 hours. I have tried walking in and been denied even though there is 2 hours before closing and only 3 people in the waiting room.nI also have a illness that I have been taking the same medicine for over 30 years but they will only give me 4 months at a time forcing me to book another appointment. I have run out of my medication on more than one occasion asking my pharmacy to fax for some more, then calling the front desk just to be put on hold for 30-40 min. Then they say the doctor will fill it out and they will send to the pharmacy. But they only give 1 month or completely ignore the request. I have gone days without my medication adding stress to me and my family. I can't afford to keep taking time off work to sit in an office for 1-4 hours to only get a few months.nI understand that they are busy but why only give 4 months supply of a non narcotic medication that I have been taking for most of my life?nI would like to find a doctor that will help me but no one is accepting new patients.nnWhere can I summit a complaint for someone to investigate what is going on in this clinic?
I had an appointment and it was a wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, Drew was incredibly welcoming and helpful. She greeted me with a warm smile and made the check-in process seamless. Her friendly demeanor set a positive tone for my visit.nThe clinic itself was clean and well-organized, making it a comfortable environment. The staff were attentive, and I felt well taken care of throughout my appointment. I truly appreciated the level of care and professionalism.nOverall, my visit exceeded my expectations, and I can't thank Drew enough for her kindness and efficiency. I booked an appointment over 2 weeks ago, was on time and sat waiting for over an hour waiting to see the doctor, then watched a bunch of walk in go through, went up and asked how much longer got told i was next and then watched 10 more people go into see the doctor and another patient who had an appointment before me came up and asked how much longer and was told he was the next person for the same doctor. i asked again and the receptionist told me i was next again and i told her i was done and leaving since i had come on my lunch break and she explained that it was the doctors first day back and she then said that i could have the next available appointment. i said i would never use the clinic again since the doctor could not run at a reasonable time, i understand sometime things come up and emergences happen but the fact that they cleared out the walk ins before the appointments was what tip the scale to bad service for me.nThey also still will charge Alberta Health for my spot even though he did not see me because he was running over an hour late. this is something i really disagree with, if i was a no show they should charge but because he could not keep to his schedule he should not be paid for my time.
