Very nice rec center. Great ice for Hockey and Ringette. They have a lounge upstairs that you can watch the curling rink and the hockey rink at the same time. You can get drinks and pub food. I only had the fries and gravy and they’re really good. It was nice to have a really good viewing area to watch the Ringette game. Really nice big locker rooms for the girls to change in.
GARC is a great place for the Glen Allen neighbourhood and houses plenty of activities for people to do. However, the gym feels a little small when considering how busy it gets at times, and sometimes it takes ages for fixes to happen locker room locks.
Bright and sunny inside with two large, recently renovated fitness areas. The staff are great and usually the facility is not too busy. Besides Fitness, there is also racquet sports, curling, and skating. The change room and shower facilities are quite nice as well, and the showers actually get warm!
Super friendly staff and well maintained building. They lent me a lock for locker free of charge because I was ill prepared.
Friendly staff! Sauna is amazing! Gym is a bit small, but it's not that busy if you go in the morning or late at night.
