I was really excited about getting some Jamaican food. I haven't had some for awhile. Take out that is I've had my share of Caribbean food as I was married to a Jamaican. The food took about 1 1/2 hrs to arrive. So I'm expecting fresh food and/or cold food. We'll, I got the latter and it was not fresh. Not sure who's responsible for the order being cold. Both were very dry, but one of the fried was ok. I was so disappointed. I had debated whether to order from another Carribbean Stove Pickup Food for thought. Anyways, it was not what I had expected based on the reviews. The Rice n Peas didn even hit the Richter scales. When you are paying $20 a mean you expect better. Not sure why I didn't today. Oh presentation needs a little work as well.
Had a weird experience. While waiting for food, some random person with crutches comes in and doesn't order food. He stares at us as we wait then and asks us if we're over 18. Asks us for a favour and said it was nothing bad as he pulls out lottery and cards out of his pockets. We stopped the interaction before knowing what he wanted. While we are leaving he keeps saying to the store owner, "I'm in pain I need help." Food was good. Got jerk chicken and oxtail, both with rice and peas. But I'm so spooked that I'll never go back again.
Rose and her restaurant is a classic establishment in this area. I have been getting delivery during covid and had a chance to finally go in for takeout. The spicy Patties are very delicious and definitely the highlight. Jerk Chicken was a bit disappointing in portion size and taste, I was expecting more chicken and less rice. The wait time is also a bit but it’s usually her working alone. It’s a difficult time financially for small businesses so please go and support them, rather than fast food.
Had amazing fall off the bone Jerk chicken here last week and wow!! This small family run business knows how to make authentic Jerk chicken! With a side of the best cabbage curry slaw. Definitely going back to try more!!
I’ve always wanted to try this place out and finally all stars lined up! Rose is amazing and helped us picked from the menu, I had the ox tail and my daughter had the brown stew, absolutely delicious! This is a gem in north London, full of favour! This place is a must try if you like amazing food!
The food was of, but boy was it slow, lord...if you're hungry, maybe have a snack before you order. I've had worse jamaican food to be honest, so they can grawn!
I ordered curry chicken roti. First the roti is old the edges are hard. Second its 95 percent potato by far the worst chicken roti I ever had.
I found this place when my son was at Karate, so far we just had the oxtail and it’s so delicious! Full of flavour, great portions and excellent pricing. Sorry no photo we were so hungry it was devoured lol I do have a photo of the curry chicken on left and goat. I got excited when I found their restaurant so I ordered some extra things. They we’re so friendly here also: lots of parking right behind Sherwood plaza.
Had recently some onion rings and chicken roti from Uber eats Tastes fresh and juicy , little way too much turmeric and less chicken Liked the taste and would like go for goat curry next time
ordered delivery. jerk chicken was great but why am i only getting 2 pieces of chicken when i ordered a large? am i jus gna get 1 piece if order a small? rice was kinda dry too. cmon yo do better
