This is a great RV park very clean and a very friendly atmosphere all of the staff are always smiling and great people to talk to. There are showers, garbage bins, a swimming pool that is outdoors so only open in the summer season, a clubhouse, a golf course, and a office, as well as a place for newspapers. There are quite a few sites most of them are very private and some of them are quite beautiful facing a river and with trees to give privacy from neighbors. They're open year round and have seasonal rates for people that want to stay in the winter. They have Gates that close at night time and restrict too much noise at night. The RV park itself is pretty close to the Nanaimo airport and it has a ton of trails that are great for riding ATVs or mountain bikes or just walk your dog. You can camp here with just a tent but they also allow trailers and RVs as well. Each site has a picnic table as well as a fire pit. The general atmosphere is extremely relaxed and happy and it seems to be a great place for kids / families looking to vacation in the summer or stay long-term in the winter.
Top Notch Place. Great spacing. Great sizes. Good prices and clean showers. Pint size Golf course and a playground for the littles. Just down from the Airport so some distance to go anywhere. Right by my Grandbabies so I was happy Very nice place if you need a spot on the island.
My friends rented a spot here for a week and we came to visit. This might be one of the best, most affordable resort style camping spots near Nanaimo. There were many things to do for families such as a pool, pitch and putt golf, and a nice playground, not to mention the beautiful forest.Location: 5/5
they’re kind of cold, I rode across America and a big part of Canada, camped at probably more than 100 campgrounds, this is the only one that has been so mean to me. normally for bikers and hikers it’s hard to tell what time you will arrive, and to help them survive the night, most campground they have self checkin table or you can just set up the tent and pay in the next morning, long distance hikers sometimes can only get to the campground by midnight. But last night when I get to their campground office it’s not that late, only like 7:30pm, and I called them, to ask if I can set up my tent there and pay in the morning, but they just say no, no, no… No matter how I try to explain the situation, it’s dark, and I’m on a bike, there’s no other places nearby, and I saw there’re still many sites that are empty in their campground, however they just say no. Well of course there’s no problem at all, you can say no to anybody if you don’t feel happy. But I just don’t understand why people like this would open a campground.
Amazing place to camp, the staff are very friendly and helpful. It has been a regular destination for about 6+ years and usually camp 3 or 4 times per year.
Such a hidden gem! How have I never heard about this place?! The pool was divine and the park is great for the kids. We had a super sunny site, but shade wasn't too far away. The men's bathrooms at the clubhouse were backed up a few times, but the staff had cleaned them by the time we tried again. We will absolutely be back to Rondalyn, and we're looking at booking our family camp trip here next year.
We loved this Campsite, the river is right there. Cute trails, Golfing was a blast and of course the pool was spectacular and so clean. Showers were a bonus and the best I've ever been too . We unfortunately had our truck break down while we were staying here and the staff went ABOVE and BEYOND to help us out... we can't wait to go back ..A+ 5 STAR . Amazing staff! Thanks again .
We had a great time here. The grounds were well kept and the bathrooms were always clean. They also didn't cheap out with single ply in the bathrooms. However, if you stay in cabin 1, bring a short hose for water as the spigot is 1" off the ground. We plan on returning next summer.
Very picturesque next to a creek. Has a nice pool and even a small golf area. There's playgrounds for the kids, and only a short distance from a pub with excellent food. I can't wait to go back.
We had a great site for our first time in our RV!! The staff are friendly and accessible!! The restrooms are kept clean and safe. It is a dog friendly environment
