I’ve visited this dentist about 3 times now. I don’t have insurance so it was important for me to find a dentist that was affordable! This centre is amazing. The staff is so kind, and it is definitely the best option in town if you don’t have insurance! Super affordable and easy. They also are amazing with emergency situations and will book you in ASAP if you’re in pain suddenly. My dentist was Dr. Sheikh who was an absolute angel. She had my tooth removed in less than 10 minutes and I felt no pain at all. Definitely one of the best dentists I’ve had so far.
I went in with serious and complicated dental issues needing an implant. The clinic is very clean. Dr. Koniouchine was really good at explaining the procedures and treatments required. He performed bone graft surgery and dental implant with excellent results. Dr. K is very knowledgeable and funny. I had several appointments during the course of a year and every experience was pleasant. Big thank you to all the staff from front desk to dental assistants to the dentists they are all amazing. I have recommended this clinic to my family members and friends.
Super understanding and patient with people who have extreme anxiety with dentists. I got a wisdom tooth extraction while awake and although it’s not ideal the price was fair and the service was good. She was also very cautious as to make sure I was completely frozen ensuring I’d be as comfortable as possible. Thank you.
Called to book an appointment but was instructed to call back when their hygiene coordinator was available. I followed up only to learn that they're backlogged for cleanings well into September, 2023. Despite positive past experiences, I've found their quality-of-service has dipped in the last 1-2 years. I don't recommend them for cleanings if you're looking for reasonable service or transparency around booking availability.
I am 72 years old and I’ve seen many dentists over the years. Some were just fine and others not so much but I can tell you this… The experience at Rockliff Dental has been the best EVER!!. I have been a patient for a couple of years and from the moment you enter, staff make you feel welcome and important. My dentist is doctor Koniouchine who is extremely knowledgable and always explains the best path forward for any dental problems you might be having. He is also pretty funny and very personal which puts you at ease no matter what the situation is. His assistant Rosita is also so very efficient and just has a lovely spirit! Dentist work can be expensive but I find costs to be always in line with the Ontario dental Association!
I had a wisdom tooth taken out last summer and I've been terrified to return to a dentist since. My experience here was traumatic to say the least. The staff knew I was already very nervous to be undergoing dental work as I filled out an intake form where I indicated a high level anxiety for dental work. I had a gum graft earlier with them and was visibly distressed the entire procedure. I had requested sedation for my wisdom tooth but was gaslit into thinking I wouldn't need it because I was "fine" with the gum graft I wasn't and was told they would prescribe me a pill that would feel "as though [I've] had a whole bottle of wine in 10 minutes". It was an Ativan that was prescribed and it had no effect on me. They kept saying to me "you're fine, you're fine", but I was completely co-herent and could not stop sobbing. The procedure was not painful, but the pressure and sounds and smells were incredibly overwhelming. I could hear my tooth cracking into pieces and feel how hard they were pulling at each piece. The reception staff were very friendly and accommodating to my schedule, but the dental work itself has me hesitant to go back to any dentist. Maybe I need to advocate for myself more, but I would have expected more compassion from health care professionals and would have liked to be taken seriously when I expressed how anxious I was.
I would highly recommend Rockcliffe Dental if you are looking for a dentist. Dr. Hussam Ashkar is amazing!! I get so nervous at the dentist and he always makes you feel so comfortable. All the staff is friendly and supportive.
I have been here for multiple fillings and each visit was extremely enjoyable and smooth. Dr. Hussam and his assistant Kim are amazing at what they do. Thanks a lot guys!
I just had a few back-to-back appointments after years of not seeing a dentist. Dr. Ashkar is very gentle and friendly, making sure the patient is comfortable 100% of the time. Minimal discomfort even during a root canal procedure. He is also very knowledgeable and time efficient. Appointments are always on time and clinic is well equipped. I’ve booked an appointment for my son with him too and I just know he’ll be in good hands!! Shoutout to the ladies at the reception and the dental assistants who were exceptional too! They sure do create a great atmosphere from start to finish! No insurance, prices comparable to other places and reasonable.
Absolutely 5 star service. As someone anxious about going to the dentist I can not recommend this clinic highly enough. After the incredibly thorough 'new patient exam' a treatment plan was put in place to deal with the most severe issues first including a root canal procedure. I cannot emphasize how much the idea of this scared and stressed me out. Dr Ashkar promised to do what he could too avoid it if possible but it was unlikely. The papers were all signed to do the procedure but thanks to Dr Ashkar's skill and patience he managed to save the root and the tooth just required a simple filling. I plan on keeping up to date so I never have to go through this again. But I am so relieved to know I'm in the hands of someone who knows what they're doing, focuses on patient comfort, and someone who takes the time to preserve teeth when possible.
