We have been working with Robert Van Alphen for several years. From our first meeting, Robert listened to our requirements and our long-term goals and he provided us with a comprehensive plan of action.  Throughout the years he has met with us regularly, discussed and updated our financial plan and advised us with regard to purchasing new funds, giving us the personal service that we require. Robert is a knowledgeable and professional financial advisor.  He keeps himself current with the market and new funds that are available.  We feel secure in our retirement as a result of working with Robert and we highly recommend his services.
My husband and I have been investing since the early 90’s. We have had several Financial Advisers over the years. Robert is the best. We moved here 7 years ago and it was approx 5 or 6 years ago we moved our investments from TD in Sidney, BC to Robert with TD Wealth Management in Penticton. Immediately we felt a connection with Robert. He is very genuine, personable and friendly as well as has a great wealth of knowledge on all the investment types that suit our needs and comfort zone. In addition to reassessing the funds we had and making changes that suited our needs and comfort level, he also helped us get started in setting up our TD Direct Investing accounts so that we could buy stocks on our own as TD Wealth Management did not deal with stocks. Robert gives great advice and I love that he is happy to discuss stocks with us in addition to mutual funds etc. We have had some great conversations. When Robert told us that he was leaving TD and moving to CIBC, we moved our TD Wealth portfolios with him. Robert stays up to date on world events that have influence that can impact the markets and suggests changes to our investments when prudent to do so. He is very thorough in his explanations, takes the time to explain things in terms that we can understand. He is very patient. He aways makes himself available via phone, email or in person. He is trustworthy and always puts his clients first. We highly recommend Robert to all investors whether new to investing or seasoned investors and all in between.
Robert gives great advice and takes the time to make sure we are invested in a way that matches our comfort level and financial goals. He always makes himself available by phone or email and will meet us wherever is most convenient for our schedule. If I can’t get a hold of Robert his assistant Felicia is always a pleasure to deal with. I would recommend Robert to anyone who is looking for someone trustworthy and truly puts his clients’ interests first’
