Riverside Farm Restaurant & Wine Market

9 of us went for a birthday breakfast. The atmosphere was wonderful and we had reservations at opening and we're all greeted for breakfast and seated promptly. The menu had a variety of food and we all made our choices with difficulty... so much to choose from. Our wait for the food began. 45 minutes later, it arrived. It all looked amazing, and I believe it would have been, if any of it had arrived even warm. The fact is, not one person had hot food. The toast was dry, the eggs and homefries were cold and the sausage was burned... but still cold. Since we were there to celebrate, no one said anything but in hindsight, that may have been wrong. We will try it again but with an hour drive it may not be breakfast.

Very cute rustic restaurant set in rural Maine. The decor and atmosphere is wonderful. The menu was fairly limited....ie just 4-5 dinner entrees, about the same number of appetizer choices, but to be fair, we visited in February, so it's people they offer a larger menu during the busy season. Nice wine choices. I shared the baked brie with the wife of my husband's friend who we were dining with and it was delicious. My husband had the bruschetta and he enjoyed that as well. The bread was crispy and warm and tasted home made. For dinner I had the salmon and was served a large piece perfectly cooked. My husband had a steak and said it was delicious. Our friends had the ravioli and baked chicken and both were pleased. For dessert we all opted for the blueberry pie. It was decent. Homemade. The crust was flaky, but the filing was but too gelatinous for my taste. All in all it was a nice meal. The dining room features a nice fire place. I can only give it four stars just because there really wasn't anything outstanding that would make me really eager to go back. But then again, maybe in the summer when they open the back deck....

Great atmosphere, lovely building, excellent food, excellent service. Having the softly playing music in the background was soothing and enjoyable. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant, courteous and friendly. We will be coming back!

The food is decent with a nice atmosphere but we waited 45 minutes for four sandwiches with chips on a quiet afternoon with no acknowledgment from the waitress. I would like to go back for the food but that kind of wait really puts me off.

This place was really neat and fancy the inside looks like a really fancy old style house good food and some good beer from local brewers. Nice place to have a special evening great choice for date night.
