We get many compliments on the atmosphere of campgrounds that have many flowers and a big playground. People can't believe we aren't filled up with R.V.

Story

A quiet R.V. campgrounds on the Mississippi River. Near town of Monticello, but far enough away for quiet. More geared for quiet, family camping with all grass sites with fire rings. Wood purchased is delivered to your site. 3 sites geared for big rigs overnight drive through. 30 and 50 amp sites with full hookups on all.

We stayed at the park for one night. Pros - very friendly owner and even though it is fairly convenient to I-90, it was very quiet so we slept well. Nice playground for kids as well. Cons: if you want or need internet access, you are out of luck because the signal is so weak. Also, while the river is nice - loads of mosquitos. Lots of long term folks so as others have mentioned, it is a different vibe than at some other parks where people are passing through.

The park is amazingly clean, even the restrooms! The caretakers do a fantastic job at keeping the place convenience, clean, inviting and it's extremely affordable. Just about every spot is covered with shade trees. Highly recommend this for your next camping excursion, it feels like it's out of the way but close to the convienieces of town!
