Local, Reliable & Affordable describes the company of River Country Co-op. We offer a wide selection of products and services at many of our locations throughout the Chippewa Valley and Northwestern Wisconsin. River Country Co-op is a multi-faceted company with seven locations in the Chippewa Valley to serve you. Annual sales revenue exceeds 80 million dollars with approximately 200 employees.
Our company started in 1948 by a group of farmers wanting to own a company that provides quality products and services at great prices and where the profits are distributed back to our owner members. 60+ years later we still use these same philosophies upon which we serve our membership.

The mission of River Country Co-op is to provide the products and services that will best meet the needs of our customers while providing an adequate return to our member owners.

As of today I'm happy. After 24 years of contracting my propane from River Country Co-op I found a young man at the counter who not only had a smile on his face but he couldn't have been MORE pleasant to work with. I've been fortunate to have him help me on another occasion but he says he only works there 3-4 weeks out of the year. That's a shame because he would be a welcome addition to that counter that I have felt intimidated to go to all these years. No one else ever has even the start of a smile like this guy. He either deserves a raise or a full time job because he's competent, pleasant and easy on the eyes also. A total plus to this business. There is a young lady in the office that is also MOST helpful and friendly. She is my tattoo girl and the one to ask questions as she will find an answer. Thank you for being so helpful.
We just recently moved and wanted to fill our propane tank. The previous owners used you so we called you. The lady on the phone told my husband that we we're not a customer so he needed to go online and sign up. Then he needed to call back in a week or two. I told my husband how silly that sounded and we didn't want to wait. So I called Quality Propane and they had someone out that day to check everything. Then they filled the tank the next day. You lost a good customer because of the poor customer service.
Myself and family members live in a small town called Prairie Farm, Wi we have a River Country Co-op and every single day several times a day the employees that work in the Hot Stuff Deli DO NOT WEAR gloves. I have mentioned it several times. At this location even the manager of the store has been witnessed with out wearing gloves while preparing pizzas, sandwiches, burritos anything that is sold in the hot case and the donut case that they put the donuts in. I think that is Very unsanitary and nasty. The manager, being told about this was also doing the same thing. Therefore, I am making people aware of what is happening.
When I need grass seed or fertilizer I always purchase from River country! Jim always thanks me for the business and I always leave having had a pleasant experience!
Wonderful experience I bought a propane tank last year. everyone is friendly and professional. We are very happy overall great company.
I buy my lawn fertilizer here. Best prices best product and no ones better at service. A++
