I attend the Rideau Sports Club several times a week for their fitness and yoga classes. RSC is a home away from home for me. It isn't a glittzy club and that is why I like it. The staff are personable and the environment is relaxed and cozy. It is clean and comfortable. Yes, the building is old, but that just adds to the charm. There are plenty of classes with lots of variety.nnI particularly enjoy Shivam’s yoga and fitness classes. His teaching style is clear, straight-forward, and easy to follow, and he does an excellent job cueing poses while always offering thoughtful alternatives. Shivam creates a genuinely welcoming and inclusive environment—he is friendly, approachable, and truly authentic in the way he teaches. You can tell he cares about his students, which makes his classes both accessible and rewarding. I always leave feeling supported, grounded, and grateful for the experience.nnRena is another fantastic teacher. She is incredibly strong, and her Pilates classes are challenging in the best way. Rena is in amazing shape, and her strength and discipline are truly inspiring! She motivates you to work hard while staying focused and intentional, making every class feel effective.nnSome of the cardio machines in the gym section of RSC could use an update, but otherwise I only have positive thing to say about this gem in the community!
Friendly summertime vibe. Lots of activity with kid’s camps heading into their final stretch. The pickleball courts full disclosure I’m one of the instructors have been an excellent addition to the sports complex. It’s been great seeing the kids being able to enjoy pickleball along with the super tennis camp action. What a benefit to having young athletes cross trained in both court sports at such an early age.
A really great sports club with tonnes of different options. They have fabulous outdoor tennis courts, pickles all and other racquet sports. They have a restaurant and pub on-site. There's a great fitness facility with classes. They have a pool as well. There's fire pits and picnic tables available for groups to rent. The facilities are clean and well-maintained. I think the prices are a bit high, but its a high quality sport centre.
My kids have trained tennis for years at Carleton and there’s a reason that most people move away from Rideau. The management and ownership of this place is focused so much on profitability. I recently attended a U16 tournament here and you felt it in how the tournament organizers treated everybody. No smiles and all business. Absolutely no holiday spirit to be felt at all. Without any soul is a good way to describe this place.
Did a quick walk to rideau sports centre to question about the tennis courts. They had 4 outdoor courts and 8 no of indoor courts. I believe they provide tennis coaching. Anybody can come play by just paying the rent to use the courts and they are well maintained. They also have yoga, soccer as well. This centre has a restaurant and parking space.
