Trashy is the only word i can think of.  I go to the Casino 1-2 a year with a friend with a decent budget(100s of $, make a long fun night out of it). Having heard that Rideau finally added playing tables, i decided to go give them another shot. Sure enough not only were the players trashy (it's somewhat expected in a casino with the 'addicts'...but still , this was  way lower normal standards). The staff at the table(not the managers behind) were trashy too. They way they spoke and interacted was just sad.  I left earlier and didn't play my full 'budget' the place was awkward, low budget and very 'amateur' type feel.    I live 8min drive from the place, but i'll drive the extra 30min and stick with Hull Casino from now on.

also got food poisoning from the buffet some years ago when i first tried it.

Renovations far from complete, too many really old machines and large number of machines not functioning. Once everything is complete, it will be very nice, but never up to Las Vegas standards. It's nice to play for awhile and win a bit along the way. A pleasant place to spend some of our entertainment dollars.

New unfriendly staff members makes me feel unwelcome.  The craps table have very rowdy loud people playing.  Even the lady that served ice cream at the buffet couldn't bother to crack a smile.  And this is not a one off experience either.  Seems to happen every time I come (which "was" often). And; what happened to the live bands? A DJ? Seriously? Only improvement so far ar e the giveaway and no country music.   But even the draws doesn't make me want to go as I don't like being treated like staff is looking down at me.  It's not all staff members that are unfriendly.  However, it gets difficult to avoid them as it's mist staff members.  

My advice:  train the staff to be friendlier to everyone and not just the rich looking or good looking people.

Had buffet tonight and the food was great. Big improvement since Hard Rock Cafe has taken over.  The staff is very friendly and courteous.  I know there is more noise than usual because of the renovations but it will be worth it in the long run.

Not worth going when the machines never pay out. Haven’t won anything at this place since Hard Rock took over. I would go elsewhere
