Old looking theatre. The seat weren’t comfortable. We saw a movie on Tuesday and it was $6.50. They didn’t clean up between showings. The theatre has an old smell. If you don’t care too much about quality and you just was to watch the latest movie, it’s a good choice.
This theatre is epic. It has an old school feel and charm to it. We try to get here at least once a month. It is truly an experience. True, it doesn’t have all the modern conveniences of the newest Cineplex, but what it lacks in that department, it more than makes up in others. This is a old time, small town theatre in the heart of White Rock/South Surrey. The owner still personally greets patrons and sells tickets. This place will always be on my list of iconic & timeless places in the area.
Smaller theatre with 60's theme. Good seating and good concessions. Screen is large and picture clarity was excellent. Sound quality also very good. Parking is a little tight due to small mall and heavy traffic. Easy access off of 152 street.
Wow - took me back to my home town theatre experience as a kid. The Art Deco Theatre is lovely, clean and comfortable. The viewing quality is as good as any larger Cineplex complex. Get there a little early as tickets are bought at the concession along with popcorn and snacks. Free parking in the back.
This is a great little theatre! There are only 2 theatre rooms, but, it has everything you need! There's a small concession stand, where you can purchase your tickets for a showits cash only thoughand affordable too, and there are washrooms available upstairs! It's also conveniently next to restaurants in the plazaStarbucks, Ay ChihuahuaFormerly Kimberley's Jewelers, and an Asian restaurant, so that you can have a bite to eat, before the show if you want! The owners are nice too! There's also a marquee on the corner of the plazaby the antique shop, which tells you what's playing that week!
Saw death of Stalin today. Enjoyed it. Older theatre but great popcorn, friendly staff. Small theatre with a touch of class. In some ways reminds me of the Fraser theatre I spent Saturday mornings in the 1960's. Will check it out again for movies they don't send to the premier theaters.
Took my elderly dad there for a matinee and the staff was absolutely lovely. For both my dad and I and some snacks it cost us 31dollars total. Pretty cheap daddy daughter date! We had a great time and we are going again today! See you there!
Like having your own theatre. Intimate surroundings yet the screen is big enough and the sound is of absolute high quality that it becomes a real, yet cozy, movie night out. Would not be surprised if the proprietor is a movie fan. It just has that "movie lovers" feel.
I like that this in an independent theatre, so I want to support it. Can't beat the price of the tickets, and the service is pretty good. However, I couldn't get past the damp, moldy mildrew smell in the theatre. It's an older theatre, so I can kinda understand, but it's enough to prevent me from going back.
So wonderful to have this theatre here. Of course you cannot bring in your own food. This little theatre has to make a profit somehow and that is one of the ways of doing it. We enjoy coming to see great movies here! Thanks for keeping it going! At times it must be difficult to get the crowds! Good Luck!
