What a beautiful store with an incredible variety of chocolates, candies and gifts! The store employees are always friendly and helpful. If you are in Stratford, you can’t miss this gem!
A beautiful chocolate shop. If you are in Stratford and haven't visited Rheo Thompson Candies than your tour is not completed.
My favourite chocolate shop. A must when in Stratford. The mint smoothie is exactly that - a smooth silky mint flavoured chocolate. The ginger chocolate is amazing too. Everything is so good
Great place for Christmas shopping but please note that many people already know that so expect wall to wall people in the store at this time of year. Don't let that detract from shopping there. They have excellent staff that keep the checkouts moving smoothly and the shelves stocked. My favorite is milk chocolate mint smoothies. They have a great selection of nicely wrapped and decorated boxes in a variety sizes. Great small gift for your favorite people.
Today is Monday Novermber 29 2021. We just visited our favorite chocolate & candy shop, Rheo Thompson Candies in Stratford. Thought we would beat the rush this year, it is already getting busy. The service was excellent as always. What I learned today was that the label marked assorted assorted means milk & dark chocolate in soft & hard centers. Loved the mint hand sanitizer at the door, unscented is offered as well. Thank You Rheo Thompson for a pleasant shopping experience, Happy Holiday's To You All.
Love the mint chocolate smoothies. Wonderful staff and great mint smoothie hand sanitizer. Only go here once or twice a year but would gladly spend more time if my budget allowed it.
If you visit Stratford and have a sweet tooth, you have to stop in at Rheo Thompson Candies. Their chocolate is amazing. You will pay a premium though, so be warned. If you don't have much to spend though, at least pick up a smoothie - they come in several flavours and are all good.
Cindy, Christine and Cathy are the sweetest, most accommodating customer support team and I am so looking forward to receiving my Advent Calendars! This is the most amazing store and their Christmas Advent line of calendars are the most stunning collection I have ever seen! This was the best chocolate I have ever tried in my 54 Years. Dark chocolate mint . Milk chocolate bar, dark chocolate bar as well, and a small bag of humbugs . I shared with my wife, and I'm now in the good books. Thank You! This is a MUST stop while visiting Stratford. If your not pleased let me know, you may have gone to the wrong store. Have a Nice Day.
I love this place. I've been to Stratford many times throughout my life, from when I was a kid and my parents would take the family on our annual theatre trips, to now when I take my own family. This place always delivers! The staff are friendly and helpful, there is a ton of selection, and prices are reasonable. Yes, you'll pay a fair bit more than generic candies and chocolates at the grocery store, but the quality of the candies here are top notch, and in my opinion, totally worth the extra cost. In our current times of pandemic shopping, Rheo Thompson is doing a fantastic job of keeping staff and customers safe. Though it is inconvenient to limit the number of customers in the store, no one seemed to mind too much as evidenced by the long ling up. We had to wait about 25 minutes to get in. Once we got in, there was hand sanitizer for everyone to use, which yes, was mint-scented! Pandemic life sucks, but it's the small things like this that help make things a little more manageable. I hope Rheo Thompson makes it, as every time I visit Stratford, I try to stop in the store to pick up at least a few mint smoothies. Highly recommended.
