Our kitchen is the soul of our restaurant. Our menu reflects engaging flavour profiles and the changing seasons. Our goal is to provide exceptional cuisine and service that exceeds our guests expectations.
e18hteen has been one of my favourite restaurants. I loved the ambiance, and the location of the restaurant was perfect whenever we had visitors from out of town. The seafood here was always very fresh. All dishes were super nicely presented. We ate the seafood and meat with minimal sauces so we still tasted the sweet and fresh taste. The desserts lack wow factors and were mediocre.
Had a nice experience here. The ambience is great as well as the decor. Service is generally good, they open the door for you as you enter which was nice. Waitress was nice but a little less descriptive of drinks, when asked to describe a drink on the menu she said it's written on the menu which put me off a bit as the unique and specialized ingredients are not in layman's terms, and when asked about the taste of them, according to her every drink is "well balanced". As for the food, my steak was good as well as the accompaniments, mushroom risotto was good as well. The tapas and bread however were great.
Took my girlfriend to restaurant e18hteen for her birthday. Staff was very friendly extremely knowledgeable with what wines to pair with the food we ordered. Presentation and amount of food was perfect. Meal was cooked to desired tenderness. Atmosphere was trendy and cozy. It was AMAZING!! A must dine in if you are visiting the Ottawa downtown core.
Amazing food. I was really impressed with the steak. The steak itself is already juicy and well seasoned, but the sauce just elevates it to another level. You can taste the attention to detail made by the chef. I am blown away that a restaurant in Ottawa has such quality food. I will definitely come back again.
Phenomenal fine dining experience - arguably one of the best in Ottawa!! these guys are the masters of their craft in every shape and form - the service was top notch, I believe our main server's name was Jason, and he was an absolute beauty... Checked up on us regularly and made for great conversation/gave us lots of great suggestions & info, while also giving us lots of room to enjoy ourselves and the food... which was out of this world!!! The Foie gras had lots of interesting taste/texture combinations with the various sauces/chocolate crumbles it was served with. HUGE portions of duck/steak cooked to perfection for our main courses - steak was on the saltier side but delicious nonetheless. We really appreciated the fine attention to detail, both for the food and the service we received - they noticed we were taking photos of the engagement rings we had just picked up at the mall, and gave us a celebratory dessert which was a very kind gesture : we will definitely be back!
The pre-dinner bread is great! Very fluffy! Like an orange sauce orange something, white one, forget the name, the shrimp are very tender and very fresh. Wanna to try the Duck, but it was sold out, so ordered the Ribeye, the mushrooms were a bit salty and the fries were great. The waiter recommended a martini, unique taste, not very strong, like it! The only problem is that it's a bit slow to serve. And sorry for broken a glass.
$600 for two people. Food was great, not a comfortable/intimate setting, with very odd music that did not fit the setting covers of blink 182 and others that I liked but seemed informal for the extremely fancy environment, then later into the night it sounded more club-like. We both had the chef's tasting menu, one accompanying wine tasting, and 4 cocktails. We received a gratuitous anniversary dessert attached, and a single, free wine glass while waiting for the next course due to an influx of customers. We made reservations for two and were seated at a four person table near a cold window I run hot so I was surprised how cold it was. I wish we were seated in a two person spot. Partner is a fantastic cook and a hard core foodie, and says he expected perfect for the prices. I seemed to like it more than him but I also had one wine glass per course. I attended a wedding here in 2021, and the food was still very good. Will not be back due to the cost and comfortability.
We had the yellow fin tuna tartare, the mushroom risotto & the angus reserve striploin with wine and beer for drinks. The tuna was fresh and tasty. The highlight for us was the items served with the appetizers, was incredible tasty, especially the sundried tomato pate! I only had a bite of the steak which was really good but I wouldn't say out of this world. The risotto was my choice for main course and it was delicious, decent size portion, I was glad that I did not order anything else because I would not be able to eat it. The one thing I thought I could have had more was more cheese on the risotto. The service was nice, the hostess was very welcoming and allowed us to choose our table. They had outside seating area and a very beautiful decoration inside.
Travelling to the city to celebrate our 18th anniversary, my wife and I always planned on dinner here. While we can’t eat here every week, the meal was impeccable. The drinks were divine, and the service was attentive, gentle, and well beyond expectations. If we can manage, we’ll be back for our 19th.
Had a lovely dinner here with friends. The service was definitely great I loved my well done steak was perfectly cooked, along with the peppercorn sauce, mashed potatoes and Caesar salad. The appetizer we had octopus and lobster poutine, the fries were very crispy. I really like the Gelato, they are not too sweet and raspberry flavour was sour, which is my favourite.
