It is the easiest way to solve the problem between the landllord and tenant without going to the court. If you know the rules and are patient in explaining the situation with proofs, you are golden!

I read all those reviews before my hearing. I thought I had all the pictures, receipts and invoices, I should be fine. It was so disappointing that RTDRS officer just made decision at tenant's favour without asking for any proof from them. It is a big shame that we waste tax on paying salary to those kind of people!

They don’t care about tenants.

They actually care about the tenants and are very fair and follow the rules. The lady at the window on the hand was extremely rude, possibly the worst customer service I had ever seen in my life. But nonetheless I am very happy with the women who helped my husband and I out!!

Depends who you get. I dealt with many different people via phone and in person. It was great or horrible. No in between.

I find RTDRS to be an excellent alternative to formal court procedures. The officers know the law inside and out, and adhere to it. I think people who give bad reviews are simply grumpy that they lost the hearing.
