It is a stunning and peaceful park that offers breathtaking views and a perfect blend of nature and art. Situated on a narrow peninsula extending into the St. Lawrence River, the park provides picturesque water views on both sides, making it a serene spot for walking, cycling, or simply relaxing.nnIt is well-known for its impressive outdoor sculptures, adding a creative and cultural element to your visit. The beautifully landscaped trails are ideal for nature lovers and offer plenty of benches to sit and enjoy the scenery.nnWhether you’re exploring the waterfront, taking in the art installations, or enjoying a quiet picnic, the park provides a tranquil escape from the city. It’s especially beautiful during sunrise or sunset, making it a must-visit spot for locals and tourists alike. Perfect for a leisurely day outdoors!
Beautiful park! This park is located at the tip of the peninsula. It’s not extensive, one might finish walking the whole park starting from the right side path and returning through the left side path in around 30 minutes, but it’s still worth the visit! During the whole path, you will have a broad view of the two lakes that surround the park, which makes the experience quite nice! The park has also a bike lane that is very inviting due to its beautiful surroundings. I find it important to mention that the washroom is limited as there was only one porta-potty at the entrance, so keep that in mind! Additionally, I found the area quite windy it’s a peninsula, which explains it and for this reason, I recommend you wear warm clothes. I went there in late October on a sunny day, and despite wearing a warm jacket, I wished I had brought gloves. The trees were beautiful with fall colours! I cannot wait to see this park in the winter. Highly recommend it!
I went there with family on a very warm September day. I wish I had discovered it years ago. It's a terrific place to picnic. I just wish there were real washrooms instead of a portapotty at the entrance. On one side is a Canal and the other the St. Lawrence River. We walked to the tip of the peninsula to watch the sunset. There are large interesting sculptures throughout the park.
Nice park. It is one of my favorite place to come to and relax. You may enjoy a BBQ, ride a bicycle on the bicyle, go for walk/run and have a family picnic there. Plenty of seating available. It is the most beautiful park in the area.
Flat path approx 2.2 km loop.Easy to find parking on weekday morning. Reasonable price for parking about 2,25 per hour. Some interesting art work scattered throughout the park.Dogs on leash allowed.Plenty of seating available and a picnic area at the entrance of the park.In the middle of the park there is an arboretum.
