Reid’s dairy has been a favourite stop on our travels throughout the years and it used to be out in the middle of nowhere and is now more built up around it! The store itself has lost a bit of charm as shaker the cow no longer moos and you can’t push a button to make the train go anymore either but the ice cream is great! The famous loonie shakes are now $1.89 for small and you can get medium and large sizes. I really like how the store has divided the counter for retail/dairy shopping and shakes vs ice cream as the ice cream line can get pretty insane!!! The shakes really are still among the absolute best and it’s worth the pop off the highway to visit - great value, great flavours and a good local business to support.
Wow! Way to make us feel like real tourists we couldn’t stop taking photos the ice cream and shakes are STUNNING! Recommend the cappuccino shake and the raspberry chocolate icecream
During a weekend stay in Belleville with my family, we decided to visit Reid's Dairy to try their famous milkshakes. Prior to our stop we read their website, where we learned that they were only selling their famous loonie milkshakes to people who bring their own cups, which we did. Prices were higher if you didn't bring a cup. When we arrived, we were told that that they could only serve $1 shakes in our cups if we ordered vanilla. We ended getting two vanilla shakes in our own cups, one strawberry shake in one of Reid's cups, and an ice cream cone that was generous in its portions. Final price: $7.44 tax included! Glad we came here as my family had a blast.
Check this place out if youre in the area, the factory view is interesting enough and the kids will love pressing the MOOOO button. Ice cream tastes pretty damn good and its creamy. Cones especially the waffle ones are a bit overpriced but the single consumption cups for 80 cents are well worth it. Got a butterscotch millshake but it was wayyy too sweet. Playground in the back for kids if its open during the day.
Amazing ice cream at an amazing price! We travelled through the area and decided to stop. We have 3 kids and two ordered chocolate vanilla swirl and one the cotton candy soft serve. They all loved it! I order d the fudge brownie, strawberry cheesecake and sea salt caramel. I was so impressed. The ice cream is so creamy and lots of chunks in it. I loved it! There is ample parking on site and the staff were friendly. Washrooms and dining room was closed when we visited. I would suggest some better signage as you can only order certain items from each side and we didn't realize this and saw many people make the same mistake. I look forward to going back and attempting to bring a tub back home with me! Highly recommend checking it out!!

Not as good as I remembered it. Great place to take kids and enjoy some ice cream. But I found the soft serve to be frozen milk versus being ice cream. Flavour is fine but it’s not really creamy as I like my soft serve to be
Got the strawberry and chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. Huge serving and super great price. Amazing value and ice cream. The attendant I had on Sunday morning was really nice as well. Had the cherry cheesecake and apple cinnamon the day after. Nice touch with the cheesecake bits and the apple cinnamon tasted just like apple pie. Highly recommend making a stop if ever passing by or make it your destination.
An absolute gem of dairy. Fantastic flavours, friendly staff, and very reasonable prices. The big windows into the factory are both educational and entertaining. Beats stopping at an ONRoute when passing by along the 401 every time.
If your new to Belleville or just passing through, you don't want to miss out on Reid's Dairy. You can't get better tasting ice cream at an exceptional price. They aren't stingy with the portions either I got my ice cream in a container to enjoy later. The chocolate fudge flavour is my all time favorite it has huge brownie pieces in it. So be sure to stop and treat yourself!
